I get $5m, is that common?

Salary or TC? How high up is he? But yes that seems on par overall tbh

Yes common including shares vesting

"common" as in top 10-15% of SWEs at top tier companies, but the median of SWEs at those companies is >200k TC. So like, it's not unheard of (if they're a L6 this sounds right), but it's definitely far above "average" even at the best companies. - An L6

I'm a 2nd year ID lit associate. Long term career goal is to be a partner/have ownership stake at the firm I work for. I received an offer from a class action/employment firm for 145k, no billing req but expectation is between 1700 and 1900. Current firm will match but my billing requirement would be 2050 hours. They offered to allow me to supervise another associate, and I'll get a raise for each additional associate I supervise. Managerial experience worth the extra hours?

Hi Tax Bowlers, I'm an experienced associate (2yrs) in a Big 4 Transfer Pricing division. I have reached a point in my career where I am considering taking up a professional certification. Several colleagues recommended taking up either ACCA or CFA, however, I see little connection between these certifications and the work that I am currently doing, and what I plan to do in the future. What would you guys suggest? Would it be detrimental to my career if I did not take up any certifications?

Here is my idea for a startup! I collect all the data from career transitions and use Data Analytics to predict the most likely career transitions. I could start with consulting. What do you guys think about this? I would be able to predict based on your firm(mbb, big4), your experience, which role you are likely to move (Faang pm, strategy manager, move to mbb). I have all the data to do this, but wanted your thoughts. Would the output of this be relevant to you?
