My GCL lead is trying to roll me off an account without my knowledge. I like the account and receive high praise from everyone on the team except her. How can I approach a conversation with her in a 1:1?

Hmmm, is there a more senior person/ally who you can surface this to? I agree, not a good idea to confront directly, that person’s not going to do you any favors.

How did you discover this info? I would try to get the scoop through my manager not approach directly.

Through her behaviors/comments but our new CRM also mentioned it

Update : received an invite from my practice lead (who I never speak to) and a very friendly note from my manager about finding new accounts. Should I be concerned? Tbh the account I’m on sucks now but I feel like I’m being handled/did something wrong

Based on the fact you think it sucks, seems like moving accounts could be a welcome change. I was on an account with a tough client and tried to make the best of it to show I could do it, but I hinted I was unhappy and quickly got moved to something better.

Not concerned but be ready to state your case, send appreciation messages etc from client to the people ahead of your meeting, so they see your point, and be prepared to stand strong on the work you’ve done and the value you’ve brought to the client. If still they decide to move you, be ready with ideas on who that client would be, etc. as maybe they’re trying to help you find a “new home” within the client roster.

In that case you are probably fine!

Do you have an update on this curious to hear what happened thanks!

Had my 1:1 with the GCL (it’s a standing call) and she mentioned finding some other accounts but I will actually end staying on my main account. Her and I are both adjusting to shifting roles as the account has seen a lot of turnover and we are the only common threads through the past year

It’s possible your agency highly values you but the client has asked for a change. Rather than burden you with this info, they might be manuevering in a kinder way. Alternatively, they may like you for a piece of biz that needs a refresh or team switch up. Try not to let your paranoia take over - this could actually be very positive for you!

Hi.. I got an offer from Infosys. I have an experience of 5 years 9 months and my current CTC is 11 LPA. My designation here in pwc is Associate II. They have offered Senior Associate Consultant role with 13 LPA. I’m not sure how the hierarchy works here. Did they offer good designation or do I need to negotiate for a better role?

Also, how is work culture and perks at Infosys?

My husband has received a job offer in Washington DC. Wanted to know if 180 to 190k base is good to live in Washington DC? I checked that houses are very expensive there. I don't want to leave my job until I get another one in that area as we have mortgage here. Do you think is it worth moving there with that salary range and can afford another home to buy there?

Has anyone here transferred out of risk into core/external audit? I know I’d be taking a pay cut but this isn’t what I thought it would be and I think I’d be a better fit in core. Looking for opinions and advice.

Agency laid off all producers, is now having BA produce. BA texts laid off employees for vendor recs. 🙄 (the eye roll is at the agency, not the BA manager who didn’t sign up for this...)

My Accenture recruiter told me that in order to revise my current offer she would need to reject my current offer first and no need to worry on that part. Is this normal? Please provide genuine feedback.

A couple of months ago I left consulting for a Director-level position with a team of five people (all new hires). About a week ago one of my employees (project lead) told me they feel overwhelmed by work and cannot deliver on the level they’ve been hired for. We’re talking about “downgrading” them one rank to allow for future growth into the role, but curious to hear if anyone had a similar situation and how you dealt with it?

How important are snapshots in pwc and how to handle them

I've been working at my current company for almost 2 years now and I haven't gotten a raise. Is this normal? I tried to bring it up to my boss during our most recent meeting, but he brushed me off. He said I've been doing great work but that I need to be patient. I don't know what to do...

What is the best way to attract a new mate? I got out of a 7 year relationship (he was cheating on me for half of it) and I’m so confused on where to even start. I have a therapist and working on my trust issues - but I have self confidence issues. I’ve been burned for being ‘unattractive’. But I’ve seen girls that are objectively more unattractive than me have mates. So it must be a confidence issue? Those girls seem to glow while I am so sad. Or it’s the guys I go on dates with?

Hi all! I spent 8 years working in the veterinary field before deciding to go back to school to get a degree in communication media. I graduated in 2020 and I got a job with a national franchise (corporate) less than a year after graduating. The role was for a Brand Manager and it transitioned to Communication Manager about 7 months in. The company was toxic, disorganized, had no idea what they were doing. *cont in comments*

Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. Any advice would be appreciated!

I understand the more responsibility you have the more you should be compensated. That aside, what salary range do you think you’d be truly content at?

a) around $150K
b) $200-250K
c) more than $250K
