I hate the health insurance my agency offers
Hi All, I recently interviewed at Amazon and Google for software engineer and passed both interviews. I have an offer on the table from Amazon but with Google I am officially in team matching and my recruiter tells me that the queue is pretty backed up now and it can take a long time. My question is should I take the Amazon offer now or decline Amazon and hold out for Google? I have heard that Google has better wlb/benefits. But I'm scared to decline Amazon without a guaranteed job offer.

Is contributing post tax through the Roth 401(k) a better idea or should she be contributing pre-tax and separately contribute post to a Roth IRA?

That makes sense. Most recommend this priority for contributions:
1. As much as necessary to 401k to get any company match
2. Roth IRA
3. Anything left to 401k
For both 401k line items, you could do Roth or traditional or a mix depending on your feelings about current vs potential future tax brackets.
She’s able contribute up to $19.5k to her 401k AND $6k to her IRA. Those limits are independent of one another.
Roth vs Traditional is just an election she can make for either account.
