My goal is to go into HR when I graduate. I have great internship experience for HR, I’m applying for jobs, and I was contacted by a recruiter for an HR Assistant role. Upon looking further into this role, it seems to be more of an Administrative Assistant role and I would report to the Director of Administration. The job is labeled HR Assistant on the recruiting page but the same one is labeled Administrative Assistant on the company page (can tell by the description). Is this a red flag?

I’m thinking about leaving as a third year to teach Legal Writing at my old law school-I want to interact with students again (and help them succeed), I like the academic environment, I have no actual strong desire to seek tenure (so less pressure on me) and I truly don’t think practice is for me long term. I am a field marketer. I travel and cover 12 states. HQ is across the US on the east coast. My manager put a surprise calendar invite twice now to go to home office without consulting dates to see if we were available. I stood up and asked to be included on available dates and said I will attend virtually but asking me to be away for 4 additional full days away from my family without asking me is not OK. I already travel a lot and this boundary is super important to me. Am I right or wrong?
