16 weeks and so worried all of the stress I’m under is going to hurt the baby. Between work, my own scary (non-pregnancy) health stuff, the pandemic, my mom (who is a widow and lives alone, basically isolated by choice due to covid) is having health issues, and pressures to keep billable hours up, I’ve been having complete breakdowns. Today I spent almost the entire day crying and now have to make up the billable time this weekend. I really worry abt what effect this will have on the babe.
I’m concerned about my mom’s health and want to work closer from home. Is this a valid reason for me to apply to a consulting job that is closer to home? I’m a recent college grad in the US and I’m the only child. My current firm’s office is ~2 hr from my (mom’s) home. I can’t live with and take care of her once the WFH is over. I saw that some of MBBs have offices pretty close to my home (~10 min). When applying to the positions, can I mention that I want to take care of my parent?
Very weird watching a presidential candidate explain/defend management consulting in a NYT interview. Even some questions about federal contractors! Maybe people will stop asking what my job “means”

I’m in California and I had a new job opportunity come up. I’m interviewing next week. As you know, marijuana is legal in CA. How often do private firms drug test? Is there a way to tell if they do?
people say if they had $1M they'd do many things differently, quit job, travel world, whatever If ur parents have house worth 1M, u know u will inherit it someday, doesn't that make u millionaire?
Raise the bar!
Going on 5 months since I was laid off and I’m slowing losing hope. I’ve exhausted all my contacts, my network, people not even in my network. I feel that I’m never not looking and I’m running out of options. I know I’m not alone by any stretch but somehow it doesn’t make it easier.
What are the best ways to negotiate one's salary? Ideally time it right after a successful campaign or project?
Working in Chinese company, with office based in China but working remotely outside of China. Fine and legal to work there without a work visa if im not living in China right?
With the W&K layoffs ... 1. Recruiters are getting psyched. 2. Freelancers are even more unnerved. 3. Axe will fall on people phoning it in at other shops. What are your other predictions ? People leave ad game altogether?
How much do partners and senior managers in NYC make during their first years roughly at EY. This is in reference to Advisory practices like cyber and PI. Also how is the bonus per year calculated?
