My grandmother is in the hospital dying of COVID complications. My nanny came to work today and then I had to send her home (and to testing) at lunch today due to a fever. I’m really not feeling 2021.

So sorry to hear OP. Even harder since we see people with no masks, out and about. Hope your nanny tests negative! Stay sane. Sending virtual Hugs

Oh man. I’m so sorry. My grandmother is also in the hospital right now with covid, after 9 months of almost complete isolation in her home to protect the residents. It is so hard to see those we love suffer so much from this disaster. I hope your nanny tests negative (I’m sorry she came to work!) and that you can at least have that off your mind. Sending you good vibes thru the internet...

I am so sorry. This time is so hard on the elderly. My grandfather passed away a few weeks ago because the hospital checked him out without realizing that he had pneumonia. They were trying to clear out the hospital to open up more beds for COVID patients :(.

Ugh - I’m right there with you - grandpa went in a week or two before Xmas and is still there ... and probably caught it at a medical device check up because he hadn’t been going anywhere or having visitors etc. hang in there - I know the lack of details and inability to visit is so tough right now and it’s hard to talk about - especially when you still see friends/acquaintances out and about on social media

Sending you a hug!!!

I just quit watching the Olympics 2day :( I've been following since Athens 2004 and I started liking some not so common sports like fencing and taekwondo (started trying fencing but covid hit, sadly - been out ever since). But I really loved surf, since Kevin Slatter - I never had the talent to it, but still try sometimes LOL. But the match fixing today btw Medina and Igarashi was ABSURD - real shame. What a frustration - took out all my excitement.

Need some insight into menopause. I’ve been living with my family during covid and it’s been very difficult with my mom. She is mostly in a bad mood, constantly picks fights, has mood swings at times, and is miserable. Some of this is due to other issues at home but I’m wondering if it could be hormonal. Is this menopause?

Considering an expert role in healthcare in mid Atlantic region at McKinsey. Any thoughts about culture, wlb, tc, etc? Have read through a bunch of older threads. Opinion seems mixed. Also read this is changing. Would appreciate recent thoughts. 🙏
