My hubsand’s birthday is coming up - I was going to get him a go pro or a Rosetta Stone (trying to learn French) subscription. Any votes on what I should purchase?

Go pro. Mine doesn’t have the patience for long Rosetta Stone lessons but is doing great with Duolingo... unless you know he’s liked the trial versions may be a risky purchase. (Mine also used to enjoy the go pro when we used to travel, pre kid).

Get him something cool like a samurai helmet. Then every year you could get him a different piece of the armour.

GoPro. Languages are awesome, but dont suggest Rosetta stone it's highly overvalued for the value you get from it (lessons would be better value or some other self learning system)

It you are looking at action cameras like Go Pro, also look at the offerings from Garmin. We switched to the Garmin Virb line of cameras about 5 years ago and wont go back. Better features and easier to operate.

You could do drops for language on Apple store with the paid version. Alternatively in the vein of the go pro a dji mavic mini is what I got my hubby for Father’s Day. He also has fun with his oculus quest

Any other suggestions other than what I listed are welcome too

How is spend at Marriott calculated? Just the nightly rate? Or the final bill that includes all sorts of tax?

Drive 4 hours to client site or fly with a connection (total commute time ~5 hours)? I'd get about 400 in mileage per week from mileage but obviously 4 hours in a car sucks and I'd lose 1k status.
