My husband and I (early thirties) want to take a two week trip to Europe in late May or early June. I have extensive international travel experience, but his is limited and he is a little nervous. I want this to be a great first experience, so I don't want to pack in too much. We have tentatively agreed we want to go to Berlin as part of the trip - mostly for museums and for nightlight/culture (we love electronic music and want to experience some of that in Berlin)

I’d do a week in southern Italy if you haven’t been yet. Sorrento is a great base to visit Naples, Pompeii, and Amalfi towns. And honestly Amalfi coast is magical.

I think at most two other places, but perhaps could be happy with just one. In general, we are very into urban delights (foodies, love art museums and architecture, like live music and nightlife, music wise mostly electronic or classical) but i also enjoy seeing really beautiful nature, and I sort of like the idea of having something a bit relaxing at the end of the trip - something beachy or spa-y or a little lake or something but I'm not married to that or perhaps could just book us a spa day or a day trip to a national park or surrounding area toward the end of the trip.

I am considering these itineraries, but not married to any of them:

A week in Berlin followed by a week in Puglia/southern Italy

Amsterdam - Berlin - Prague or Salzburg

Berlin - Amsterdam - Paris or London

Berlin and Budapest?!

Of these places, I have only been to Prague, London and Paris - and Prague and Paris were a long time ago when I was much poorer and younger.

Any thoughts or advice!!

Greece checks all these boxes

I applaud your plan on keeping it simple. Give your partner a taste of travel, and you can go places forever. I’d try to introduce them to the train system, so maybe Salzburg or the Swiss Alps for your 2nd city—where you can hike your brains out. Lake Lausanne might be a good spot..you can day trip on the ferry to several different towns.
Don’t forget the Pergamon Museum in Berlin, and the jazz clubs are pretty good there, too.

Because the guy I hang out have big preference with certain race and he wants to be friend with them more than me. And it seems to insult me sometimes…but let’s be positive… maybe culture, language and other? I’m sad tho.

I had an interview today for an assistant controller job and it’s working in an industry I’ve worked in a little but not much. They’re fine with that but I’m worrying that I oversold myself. They want me to be able to manage month end by myself and show progression within 90 days. I’m naturally sales minded so I’m sitting here wondering if I’d be setting myself up for failure and get fired. Thoughts?

Any advice on how to tastefully tell your manager that you no longer want to be a charge nurse anymore? For us being in charge is having full assignment 3p-7p & being responsible for assigning pts , communicating w/ supervisor about various issues, making the assignment for next shift, and a mini report about each pt for the next charge. On the weekends, same responsibilities but 7a-7p. We don't get any additional pay for being in charge and I'm sick of the added responsibility and stress of it.
