What neighborhood are you in? A lot of times there’s a local newsletter or website that is really good for finding out what’s happening around you. I also subscribe to the Eater NYC newsletters - they basically put out everything happening on the city restaurant related. Otherwise, I get newsletters from a bunch of different organizations (movie theaters, museums, parks, etc) that I like across the city and that tells what’s going on in those places as there’s often some cool event going on. You can just browse on Google maps or search and go to their websites to get on those
A lot of neighborhoods have their own local online newspaper/site. The parks dept posts a lot of what happens in their spaces around the city as well
