I get the Covid state but what does it say if you are offered a promotion with a less than 3 % raise, no bonus? (Con level Big 4).
Does anyone do IT audit work at Protiviti? Is the work life balance actually better than B4?
Has anyone jumped from Big 4 Advisory to Tier 1 Consulting firms (e.g. MBB). Was the jump at the same, higher or lower level?
Which Big 4 firm will be first to cut U.S. salaries? Will it happen tomorrow night, Sunday night or Monday? It's coming people it's most definitely coming.
Jumping around big 4 for promotions, worth it?
Had a friend point out that in the Big 4 majority of the minorities work in the Federal/Public sector and white’s work primarily in the commercial sector. After thinking about it for a second he might be right. Especially in Deloitte.
Has anyone left big 4 to pursue nursing? I am about to be promoted to senior but don’t think big 4 is for me long term. I feel like the work I do has little meaning. I’m almost 25 and wondering if it is too late to switch career paths. If anyone has experience with this please dm me! 😊 would love to hear your story
What is this about OT labor laws that took effect on 12/1/16 resulting in Big 4 layoffs nationwide? Does anyone know a little more about this?
Is there really much difference between any of the big 4 or even top 10 or so firms? Been at PwC for 3.5 years and considering moving on, no idea what but is there any point transferring Cross firms?
If you are not a partner, do any of the Big 4 have a mandatory retirement age? I have a friend who is working in industry and has been approached by a few firms as he has a very desirable technical skill set. He is in his 50's and doesn't want to make a move unless there is some runway to keep working. He basically could work as long as he wants where he is at. The pay increase would be significant for him to jump to but if he is mandatorily forced out in a few years it might not be worth it.
In Tech at D. Over my past 4 projects they seem to really burn us into the ground overwork us. Is that just my bad experience? Other Big 4 have a similar issue?
Uber driver yesterday: Of thr big 4, you must be PwC, they always have great personalities. All the Deloitte folks I get are uptight and douchey. (his words, not mine.)

How much $$ are firms are willing to pay for a consultant with 3 YOE? It seems like a lot of firms are on a craze to hire and poach talent. Trying to judge how much I can negotiate with a lateral move (Big 4), and whether it's worth leaving my very comfortable environment right now. Would appreciate your input - thanks in advance!

My wife and I started an llc for a software service in 2019. We filed a joint form 1040 where we included our business expenses related to llc as it is permitted under irs guidance not to make a partnership/corp election for a married couple. The llc is still in a developmental phase but we plan to release in 2021 and raise capital from investors, go for IPO and issue stock in a distant future. Do we must convert to corporation and if yes, when? We filed all legal docs for llc in 2019.
Any books/self help materials for someone who is constantly worrying (and waste a lot of unnecessary time)? E.g. No matter if i pass or fail an interview, there is always something to worry about. The worrying/anxiety multiplies when I proceeded further in the interview stages. Now that I signed the offer and is pending background checks, my anxiety is off the roof as it itches closer to my starting date.
I’m 4 and half months pregnant. A recruiter reached out. Should I disclose that during our initial conversation? If not, when would be the appropriate time to share that?

I’m a upcoming graduate student studying Accounting, and I also have some sort of data analytics and programming background. I have had no real avenue to spend money like I used to with covid over the last year so looking for short-term (non crypto) investment opportunities with high returns ~$150k, any free advice would be appreciated 😄
I hope most of us can agree on the below as fellow Americans: -Any group wanting to cause harm to people or a specific group of people have no place in our country. -Clearly our country is hurting and needs productive dialogue at the community, state, and national level from both sides. -One side is never right. MSNBC, Fox News, and CNN are also rarely right. -We’re in dire need of empathy and care for one another regardless of political views, race, geographic location, gender, etc.
