My husband got hurt and can’t work for 6 months. He’s a 1099 contractor so has no benefits or anything to supplement income. I never even thought about this but is there insurance you can buy in the future in case something like this happens? Like disability for 1099 workers?

Anyone used Botox to treat TMJ/teeth-grinding? My dentist said i should get a mouth guard and potentially do some physical therapy. I seem to be doing a lot of clenching/teeth grinding in the night. I was googling other options and came across a suggestion for Botox. I already get Botox in my forehead for cosmetic purposes so I'm not worried about Botox generally, but unsure how common it is in the jaw for this medical purpose.

He had really low blood sugar on his second day and was almost comatose so he had to be taken to NICU to be monitored and tested every time he feeds. The husband has a cushy state job, barely works 40 hours a week making $70k. I work too many hours and pass out at night trying to get my 2 yo to go to bed. Every morning when I wake up, the husband bitches about how I "don't cuddle with him at night" and I seriously want to punch his face and leave the house. He helps around the house a lot, but never understands what I deal with at work. Any advice? Please help me.

Hi ladies. I’m writing a book and can use your support with the chapter “Beauty is a currency, pretty is taxable.” My sense is people believe life is easier for women with external beauty. And my experience is that it comes with a tax- eg attention you don’t want from men and envy from other women. Pretty women also do things to be with their beauty- eg prove they’re smart, dull their sparkle. Any thoughts or experiences you are willing to share would be greatly appreciated.

PA hours can get crazy. I would talk about work problems to my boyfriend, and he gets condescending and always says to quit as if he is tired of hearing me rant. I don’t mind if he is tired, but he does the same to me about his job and I simply have a higher level of patience to listen to him when he does. I’m disappointed that I can, and he can’t. Advice? Rather than get hurt by his words, I would just not mention work anymore. But is that healthy, when work makes up most of my life right now?
