My I140 will not be approved before my max out date. Is it in my best interest to apply for H4 EAD or go on a leave until my I140 is approved? Can h4EAD and my I140 application happen in parallel?

I have recently received offer from Citi for Mumbai location. Wanted to know whether the hybrid model of working is going to be permanent or is for time being. I will have to commute to the work location with odd timings 10am-1pm if wfh is not available.

If a company sends you an offer, and you send back a counter offer...can they rescind your offer and go with the next candidate? Or are you fairly safe if you counter, you just might have to accept the original offer?

US immigration question. Green card interview date was cancelled in March 2020. It’s been a whole year of just waiting for a reschedule date, so the I-485 is transferable (e.g. to another state, another employer). Has anyone transferred their i-485 to another employer? What was that process like? Would my process start from the interview phase? How did you prove that the next job was in the same category? Sending some good vibes! H1b extension got approved with RFE getting cleared in 14 days. These were some of the most stressful days with covid, EO and so much non-clarity everywhere. For anyone in the same boat, hang in there and you will hear the good news soon. :)

Spouse was stuck outside US since H4 stamping stopped by EO. They came here on B2 and have been here some months now. Would you recommend apply for H4 and change status while they are here? Downside is it takes 10+ months and spouse can't leave the country in that time.
Alternative is wait till Jan and see if EO expires and H4 can be stamped back home in a matter if a week.
Thoughts?

Is Premium Processing stopped right now for H1B transfers? Might have to defer the job hunting if PP can’t be done as switching on acknowledgement seems a bad idea in current scenario.
