I had a lot of trouble at work this year. Was depressed and had poor project experiences. So I wanted an exit and i got it. A good one.
I also got an offer from a more prestigious consulting company (won’t name it), which based on this year and also what everyone is telling me, would end poorly. I had always wanted to work at this place and applied many times over the last decade.
I know this is insanely privileged and I’m very fortunate. But I’m also sad to recognize my limitations.
You guys have times where once you're done with a big client workshop or presentation that you've been working on forever - evenings and weekends. Then suddenly its all done and successful, and now you don't know what to do with yourself? And find yourself kind of depressed? Is this real? lol
Did McKinsey & Company update its policy so staff can no longer hold any stocks outside of ETFs or mutual funds, regardless of whether the company/stock is a client?
11:30 and I'm still on client site printing and laminating materials for our workshop tomorrow. Then a trip to fedex. Thought this analyst life was over...
I absolutely hate my project, but keep getting extended. what reasons can I give to leave the project besides outright telling the SM that I hate it. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. TIA

Can someone explain in detail what a Due Diligence (Commercial) engagement entails. On a day to day basis, what is the work you do for the project, and why does it require ~80 hr weeks?

I felt upset at self often - for being too accommodating, not saying no to guys I met on apps - and felt drained after
Common scenario 1: made it clear to self and them that i have 0 interest after 1 / 2 dates but open to be friends. They continued reaching out - asking for “project advice”, inviting me to dinner where other guests turn up are all couples
Common scenario 2: saw low compatibility/attraction from the get go, but giving in to 2nd date to “give people a chance” and “opening self”

Is there a consensus etiquette on connecting with partners on LinkedIn? Typically, partners on my project have added me, but 2 on my last project did not do so. I did get good feedback from both.
Have a project working with the head of IT I can’t get in touch with her so I’m trying to escalate the issue to the chief operating officer because it’s really in danger of pushing the TL back. How should I approach the COO?
Will consulting ever return to normal post-pandemic? Asking in regards to travel, bonuses/comp, wfh, management structure, client willingness to hire consultants etc

Sorry if this has been discussed before. Is it better to transfer Marriott points to SPG or from SPG to Marriott? Which one has better point value?
Approached by FTI for a level up from my current role, anyone know about this place and willing to share what its like? Feels like a step down from big 4, but if the culture is more team oriented and the hours are more reasonable...seems better than joining the great resignation
