Hey everyone! I need some advice. I’ve accepted an offer for a new job, but I’m in a bit of a rush to get out of the position I’m working right now. I start the new job July 18. My job now doesn’t care about their employees, and it’s a health risk for my family and I due to unsafe COVID policies (i.e. forcing you to come in even if you’re sick, making you use PTO for COVID even if working from home, etc). Is there anything short term I can do until July? Or should I stay until then?

Is it just me or does it seem like the hours in public accounting are a lot worse than what they were even one or two years ago? At least I feel like I'm working more hours and we still seem short on seniors. I've been in busy season mode except when I'm on vacation. Don't want to reveal my firm but it's one of the larger ones.

Small firm atty - have offer for large firm in totally new area of law. Lateral as a senior associate with 4-5 year partnership track. (I've practiced for almost 8 years). Billable goals are 1800. I already have a 3 week vacation planned/paid for next summer. Significant pay increase (60k+) but will lose the laid back, flexible nature of my current gig AND have to learn a new practice area. I don't NEED the money, but this would allow me to save more/pull the plug more quickly. Thoughts?

Hey everyone! Wanted some advice - got an offer from a big ad agency for a Planning Manager role. Base salary is $90K (more than satisfactory, I have 2.5-3 years of total agency exp), but their PTO is severely lacking especially compared to my unlimited PTO benefit at my current job - they offered 10 actual PTO days, which are even prorated since it's mid-year. Assuming their PTO allowance is negotiable, any advice for how to handle the email follow-up to the written offer/how much to ask for?
