The current administration has banned critical race theory-based diversity training across federal agencies claiming education around white privilege is anti-American.
As someone who is dedicated to anti-racism work, I believe these conversations on the pervasiveness of systemic racism are necessary in order to dismantle the broken system and are central to our work as HR professionals. I fear what precedent this ban will set.
Thoughts from other HR pros?

Took me over 9 months to get to BCG. Yes, it was worth it. Yes, it was hard. And you have to take a little ego pill to not worry about coming in as a lateral that really means taking a step back of 2 years or so.
For the MBA route it, it’s also tough. Getting in when another 50 people in your class want to is crazy. It’s a shorter and more structured period though

@BCG1 I’m pre-MBA but to your point, the grind in MBA is as competitive. I envy the part where you don’t have to work a full time job concurrently though
OP - you’re doing the right thing. You gotta grind, but that’s why you’ll be a contender and others won’t. You’ll be prepared and others won’t. You’ll earn it and others won’t.
You’re doing exactly the right thing.
Is tech like google or Facebook? Isn’t that just as hard to get into?
I think you’re over complicating the “process”. You will burn out this way unless you change your routine.
Yes, it requires becoming comfortable with yourself. But then there is a diminishing return past a certain amount of cases once you know have an understanding of the case interview process.

Worth it, but I think you may be grinding too hard lol. Don’t burn out!!
The grind is worth it. Beyond the branding/prestige, the mentorship and growth opps within the firm are unparalleled
OP, what podcasts have you been listening to?
OP would you mind sending me some podcast recs as well? I’d appreciate it

I came in as a lateral hire from industry. It’s hard but in my mind it’s worth it. I spent pretty much one day per weekend for 4 months getting up to snuff on both the case and PEI, but I viewed it as a down payment to get the result that I wanted. At least at McK (can’t speak for other firms’ recruitment process obviously), the performance metrics you’re held to in the interview are the same, so it’s not as if one route is easier than another.

Hahaha oh you got jokes. They wouldn’t even interview me out of undergrad.
