No, your manager is a control freak and an asshole. that is all.
Yes, it's annoying AF. When you are trying to show me something I am not at your exact angle. Just remove it and then call us over to look at something. They are removable for a reason.
Hate it when someone tries to show me something with the privacy filter on. I don't care if it's on all the time otherwise. If you are getting your work done, I don't care if you watch cat videos 25% of the day.
Dude - calm the eff down. As a manager, I can tell you it is hard as fuck to see some screens clearly when they're on. Show me what you want and then put it back on. This isn't a o tell thing. It is a vision thing. And, frankly, it gets worse as you get older. On the otherhand, what are you so scared about anyone seeing?
^yes
Were you trying to demonstrate something or just 24/7 have it off?
"Isn't it firm policy to have it on?"
#justsayno
Not for me. I don't care what's on your screen unless you are not getting your work done.
O thing = power thing. @EY - who watches porn on their laptop when they have an iPhone? You think the plus version was made for viewing emails more effectively? :-)
I find it impossible to see your screen when you ask me to come over and it's on... sorry. Your Director has old eyes from a decade of 24/7 PowerPoint.
What was the rationale? Fair to ask as they are asking you to intentionally put client info at risk.
My manager once asked me the same, I said yes but ignored him, no consequences
Not 24/7. Depends on the environment.
Your manager is quite loser!!
Give the manager a reason not to trust you and he will ask that. Focus on building a good rep by delivering work on time for him and he will not treat u like that. Also don't forget his feedback for you is essential to your mid year and year end review. Good luck!
Stop watching that crazy stuff!
Christ some people have a God complex..tell that manager to fuck off!!
^^^porn hub
Exactly P3. My eyes are old too and there is nothing on my laptop that a team member could not see.
