What did she do
The problem with B4 is that people do not get promoted to management positions for their leadership skills. They become managers mainly for their technical skills and industry experience. The result is they can’t manage people, can’t create healthy workplace environment for their teams to succeed, have no clue about labor laws and how they work.
Dang dude. Sounds intense
What?
Besides that I have been getting a constant attitude throughout the season. Things really escalated when she lashed out during my review and slammed the door right next to me
Can we have the full story?
What have you done to cause that
You sound like the annoying type that I wouldn’t put on my project
Deloitte 1, this is exactly how a bully would think and how toxic environment is created that makes people want to leave the B4. A good leader knows how to work with different types of personalities.
I would honestly completely disagree OP. I love the people I've worked with
Senior Associate 1, I do get along with everyone I worked with and do like them too. This is my first bad experience with management that affected me personally and helped me relate to all the people who complained about workplace bullying and Big4 hierarchy structure. It can happen to anyone anytime.
I find it hard to believe that a staff has a good judgment on things. If you believe your side of the story is true, you will have to have your coach speak up. Nobody will believe you if it is you VS the senior. Change a coach if you believe your perspective is correct.
You can try to change to a coach who is more influential
Thank you Deloitte 1. The manager is not denying that she acted unprofessionally. The issue here is that the firm is willing to tolerate labor law violations like this just to retain valuable employees that generate good revenues.
