Have you spoken to them about this? From what you’ve described, it sounds like you’re blaming them for you burning out, even though they are supportive of you pushing back and setting boundaries. I’m identifying with your Manager a bit here, and when I see you say that you’re frustrated with someone who you’ve never seen set a boundary, it feels really harsh. Personally, I struggle setting boundaries in my professional and personal life - and it has caused me a lot of grief that I’m working on daily. So from that perspective, I’d say, please show compassion and suggest you engage in a conversation. On the flip side, I’ve also had times in my career when I was really gunning after a promo or another milestone, where I would consciously sacrifice WLB to do so, but would genuinely have not expected the same from my time.

I’m constantly burning out and find myself incredibly frustrated when someone who I’ve never seen set a boundary tell me that I should feel empowered to set my own

Everyone has their own threshold on how much work they can handle. Sounds like your manager just has a large threshold to take on more - which is okay. We all manage WLB in our own ways. You shouldn't assume that because you don't match them, you are the one in the wrong. It's okay to have a different WLB threshold than others. You just do you and as long as you are happy and healthy don't worry about what others are doing.
