My manager keeps pushing me to insert myself earlier in the projects to be more conceptual, & I try, but I’m still being brought in late, without basic context from CDs. He says he can talk to them but it’s better if I do. He says he’s always available for support, but when I reach out, he’s impossible to reach. I can’t grow & get promoted without space and support from my team & I don’t want be too aggressive & have that negatively impact how my teammates see me. I feel stuck, any advice?

I run a smaller practice and my 2nd resigned for a career shift. Whereas I obviously have resources to support me, what have you all done in similar situations related to recruiting, building the same rapport, finding someone to deal with your BS, etc?

I worked as a technical PM for a medium-sized adtech company in NYC in charge of 2 technical teams, and the business intelligence team.

On Thursday I was informed by the lead PO and HR that leadership had decided that the project management office was no longer necessary for the company and all three of us, the director and the two technical PMs, were being let go. None of us were given any notice.

They offered me 2 weeks of severance pay and I negotiated it to 3.

So I was listening to The Read podcast on the whole Gabby Union thing n they said “they don’t want us to be blk, they want us to just be present and quiet so they can say they hire blk ppl”. Truthhhhh

How difficult is it to transition between enterprise and consumer facing products as a designer? They want a playbook/ manual designing up. They have the copy (2000words) and existing design guidelines. So basically its just putting these elements together.

Hey y'all! Currently a month away from finishing a design internship at a studio I really love. I DEFINITELY want to stay full time and need some advice on how I can make that happen. They mentioned during my interview that they were looking for interns that they'd wanna hire full-time, but I know that doesn't guarantee it. Is this something I have to bring up to them or will that be awkward? And how would you go about doing it? Will they let me know? Appreciate any advice anyone has!
