It’s called favoritism, maybe nepotism. Or maybe the manager likes how that person is handling these things. Try to learn from them what they may be doing differently than you. Or if they are pigeon holing you. You can speak up and if there’s no resolve. It’s time to leave. Don’t let it eat you up inside. It’s not worth it. Find a place that values your talent and capabilities
Have you talked to them about it? Position it in a developmental way e.g. “I would love to have the opportunity to work on more challenging pitches like xyz”, or “I’d love to develop my skills at converting more, so if there is an opportunity to support on abc that would be great”.
If they just palm you off then you know it’s favouritism and you either need to accept it or look for a new role.
