My mom just told me she has IUL insurance and I’ve been hearing that whole life insurance and IUL insurance are ones you’d want to stay away from as they have a bunch of hidden fees and premiums. It’s only for $100K and I guess she’s been paying the monthly payments for a while now. Are you able to get out of it? I don’t know much about how this works so any advice?

the sheer number of consumer financial products out there is overwhelming. Sounds like your mother may have been sold something she didn’t need - sorry to hear that. I don’t know much about IUL in particular, but there is a Dave Ramsey cut on YouTube covering it. He gives very honest and clear advice, albeit very conservative. Good luck

just search “IUL Dave Ramsey” on YT to find it.

I am in the customer service and sales side of travel insurance, and I am looking for a new job, possibly in another field. A much larger company purchased us 2 years ago, and over the last 6 months I have lost 2 designations, one as an advocate, which was my most rewarding. I was told that it had nothing to do with my performance. Any suggestions on how to obtain a position in another area? Such as going from strictly customer service and sales to advocate and claims? Thanks

I’m seeing lots of posts about really bad losses. If you trade you’re going to lose money - hopefully not all the time, but many positions will be mistakes. But you need a process to find ideas and manage positions. Two books you should read are “The New Trading for a Livinng” and “The Laws of Trading.” Both look at psychology, process, and risk in different ways that can help you work out your own process. The next 18 months will be much harder than the last 18 - time to start learning.
