8 years together, one married. In our 30’s.

I find my husband physically attractive but am not passionate about him or do not feel “pulled” towards him. Is this normal?

I am blessed with so much, but yet consistently been unhappy for the past few years. I feel I dont get the love and appreciation I seek from family and marriage. At times, I feel my life should go to someone else who wants to live and I can instead leave this world. I know I will be fine eventually (dark thoughts will go away) but I am no longer interested in this life, even though I am blessed with so much.

I felt like a walking zombie during thanksgiving, barely eating and barely talking. My family is small and I told them ahead of time my relationship ended. I focused on my niece and nephews, cried when I wanted to and slept from 8pm-noon for the last 5 days. Showered once or twice. That’s the best I could do and that’s OK right now. I’m back in my apartment, just trying to take it one day at a time, and not re read his texts too much. My birthday is Thursday 🙄

A friend of mine told me I should have Narcan on hand for my boyfriend who does coke sometimes. I'm firmly against it. Where can I find new friends? I feel like my priorities are so different from them now. They are still in a hyper competitive rat race mindset. Every conversation is about finmemes or PE recruiting or how their date works at Wells instead of at Goldman. I’m the only one in a stable relationship and everyone I’ve set them up with they’ve turned down based up picture alone. They have been my friends all through college but I’m tired of how bitter and competitive they’ve become.

Has anyone tried couples therapy? Or know anyone that has? Was it successful or is it not worth the time and money?

My SO told me he wanted to take a break and I told him that we should rather break up for good but never heard back from him. During the break, I met couple of guys and things happened. I work with a classroom of Middle School ED students. One student, who I worked with the year before, has changed alot over the year. Last year (pre COVID), she had a good head on her shoulders and I thought I had good rapor with her. But over that period of isolation, she tried to commit suicide.

I made a principle only payment on 11/14 of $500 which was applied right away. Will the interest automatically recalc to reflect a lower outstanding balance for a portion of the month? I adopted a dog 2 months ago. She used to love going outside but recently she’s been very reluctant to go (hiding underneath the couch when I say walk or grab the leash, stopping and sitting on the walk). I’m in NYC so it’s getting colder but I bought her jackets which she seems to tolerates, bring high value treats and take her to the dog park on some walks but it doesn’t seem to be helping much. I try not to force her every time but as a result she has been having more accidents. Any advice?
