I one time stood on a dude’s foot. Took a giant step BACKWARDS and motioned to the gap I made and said “PHYSICAL SPACE PLEASE"
Tell them. Calm kind direct no mincing words and no "blaming". Tell the texter person, too. "Hey, I have a request. I don't text after hours / 8p.m. as that's reserved for personal / family time. Please reach out if you need me before that time. Thanks for understanding" In all boundaries setting initiatives - be clear, specific, kind, and SHORT. Do not explain do not ask if it's okay / frame in a non negotiable way. People are not mind readers so only judge after you've stated your needs and expectations 👊✊
