Hi everyone! I’m pivoting from working in politics in search of a role in DEI. I have 1.5 YOE managing multiple campaigns and a BA in Global Studies & MA in Ethnology. I have experience working in and with non-profits and a passion for people and culture. I’d love to connect to hear about your journeys & advice for an early career transition!

I'm looking for someone willing to share a ProjectPro subscription.

Has anyone stood up or played a major role in a Center of Excellence? I have been researching the concept and am very keen to propose the creation of one that I would lead. I would be very interested in getting perspectives and especially to connect with anyone willing to share their experiences. Thank you!!
FTM here with no family role models on how to make work and motherhood work. I feel as if I need to give up on career goals or, at the very least, be content with moving at a slower pace.
I also just watched the new Pixar movie Soul and it’s making me see in a newer light that progression/advancement doesn’t always need to be the goal — but how does one balance this way of thinking with corporate quarterly goals and a forward thinking/moving mentality? Should/can I be ok with being content?
I have a PR background and most of my experience is in the free lance area. I have worked in CS leadership for many years but would love to transition my career to a PR role, any recommendations anyone can provide on what I can start doing more of to transition my career? I am about 1.5 years from completing my Bachelor's in communications degree.
Refreshing to see this but there were several times when I was reading this and seriously thought she needed a psychologist. Not sure if she was being sarcastic though.

LCSW 50k loan repayment- Has anyone been granted a contract through the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program? I’m interested in applying for the 2 years of full time work as an LCSW but my loans are a bit under 50k so I’m wondering if they would only give me what I need to clear my loans or would I still get 50k as long as I complete my contract ?
I’m practicing for a program manager interview at Facebook. Anyone wants to do interview prep for case studies/situational questions?

Any auditors in here get their CFE after you already passed your CPA? Did your firm pay you more for it?
Has anyone that left a firm with a noncompete and subsequently asked for a listing of prohibited clients? I have a non-compete relating to clients I worked on 2 years leading up to my departure. The only problem is I'm not entirely sure what clients (I know most but unsure of all) I would have put time into those two years before I left.

Anyone working in tax moved from the U.S. to U.K.? What are the different/best ways to do that? I’ve wanted to move there for years, but my tax experience seems too country specific. I’m open to a change in practice area to make the move work.
Big4 and other busy accountants that own rental properties, how do you manage them when you’re working 60+ hours? Do you have a property manager? Especially before covid when everyone was in the office, how would you handle calls from tenants when you’re working busy hours, and in the office?

How often do people who have been in big4 for a long time and want to stay in public their whole career but don’t think will make big4 partner, leave for partner at a smaller firm? Is it false thinking that the smaller the firm, the more attainable partner would be especially if coming in with heavy big4 experience?

Senior (audit in charge) salary?
Thoughts? I would imagine his debts have covenants to provide audited financials (Mazars, right?) and I’d be shocked if his returns weren’t scrutinized by the IRS “wealth squad”.
