How would you rate your firm’s diversity and inclusion efforts? Do you feel there is a strong emphasis on promoting POC?
Is it shallow to want the man to handle the finances? I earn well and can contribute but I'm struggling with gender norms. I feel bad having that expectation though. Any perspectives will help...
Do other firms have an Asian Diversity or affinity group? If so, what are some of the things the networks have done which have been helpful?
Does anyone notice there has been an increase of Asian Americans suddenly trying to benefit from initiatives fought for by Black Americans while claiming their struggle trumps that of Black Americans? I find it strange. At my firm, I am a senior exec who have seen Black colleagues fight for 7+ years for diversity initiatives and we have finally gotten some notice at my firm. Nobody wants to be a minority until it’s beneficial to be one. And I peep the game and the change in behavior
I am looking to gain certification or other credentialing in diversity and inclusion, not only because it would look good on my resume both for future job-search purposes and also to become better educated in this area, which is growing in importance. I looked at SHRM's "Inclusive Workplace Culture Specialty Credential" and got a bit of "sticker shock" at the cost - $1,655.00 for members. Does anyone have other suggestions on training/credentialing in this area?
Alvarez & Marsal Corporate Performance Improvement group or Accenture CDP? Which one is “better” in terms of reputation, exit ops, MBA apps, and diversity of projects
What are some women’s groups or organizations that you think are championing women’s equality in the workplace? I’m putting together a panel focused on gender equality and would like to find some recs

Is SPY now risky with the inclusion of Tesla?
Diversity in advertising is great, however I think it should also include diversity in opinion/political views. Anyone agree/disagree?
Hello London folk. There’s a lot of great chat about diversity in adland on fishbowl, but it’s all very US based. So I’ve just started a bowl on diversity in London specifically - 9qo8f
Did you know? “Women receive ‘negative personality criticism’, such as being called bossy or told to ‘watch their tone’ in around 75% of performance reviews. Men, on the other hand, rarely do.” From https://cultureplusconsulting.com/2018/03/10/gender-bias-work-assertiveness-double-bind/
"leaders must now foster a sense of belonging in safe spaces for the workforce; reinvigorate a commitment to inclusion...and take an open stance on social justice". The topic of a meeting...
Everyone: We asked for diversity and visible minorities in this video. This edit shows 90% whites dudes... The producer: The guy in the first shot is latino and there’s also an Irishman and an Australian bro at the end 😑
Long story short - my nanny has many conservative values - mom shaming breastfeeding in public, gender specific roles, considering boys better than girls etc. it never bothered me before and I have learned to co exist with her however now my toddler is speaking and understanding more I am worried about him being influenced by her. Further she also has comments against my SO being too involved parent & calling out son as cutie, hugging toddler etc as he is a boy. Contd..
I fucking hate the expectation that "men must provide" or "women must act a certain way". That's damaging to a lot of relationships. I love division of labor and working with each other's strengths and weaknesses without so much emphasis on gender roles. I'm a big supporter of utilitarian relationship that strives for the good of the partnership and each party.
Any fun ideas for a gender reveal? (Not mine but for a friend). Only 6 of us will be there
Thoughts on Deloitte getting rid of diversity groups...it seems unnecessary to me. IMO Including white males in the discussion can be accomplished without disbanding groups.
Anyone here applied for a Schengen visa at Italian Consulate? Did you submit proof of your current US medical insurance or did you buy and submit a travel insurance for your trip to Italy ?
Need advice. We have a member on our team that doesn’t follow process, ignores asks, and undermines those above. They kinda go off and do their own thing, implement their own way of doing things. They are deeply embedded in the culture and are well liked by leadership. The dept head continues to praise them on calls, even when they ignore asks, push back, do not follow process. Do I say something? Do I let live? I’m new to the team and find this dynamic really uncomfortable.
M1 Assurance Salary in Dallas?
Anyone else feel like a fraud? I got promoted at 2 YOE but now I'm interviewing & realize my coding skills have atrophied. My time is spent on client comms and model design decisions. Should I be looking for PM exits if I don't want to code all day?
So, just what did Nick Emery do to get fired? ‘Prank gone wrong on zoom’ is all I’m hearing
I need advice on a late in life career pivot. I am spoiled - well-paid, but will never receive a raise above 1% or a decent bonus (I've hit the ceiling). My new boss is horrible, and 1/2 of the team left in the first year of her tenure. Staying is my last resort. My limitations: I need a high-level legal job (Assistant GC) in the LA area. I specialize in intellectual property law and global procurement. Do I hire someone to help with the search? The job boards have limited opportunties for me.
Hi All, Can you please give some idea about the salary expectations from Accenture for AWS devops position of 3+ yoe. I am having a offer letter from TCS(8 lpa) for same role. TIA🙏
Anyone offices in the Mid West have decently sized Asset Management Audit practises? Sick of being priced out of any property that isn't a 2 hour commute or a studio condo.
Does having a little less YOE disqualify for you a role? I have all of the other requirements
First time flying into LGA in awhile....and I think it's going to be my last for awhile. Fuck me construction is bad
Anyone think CSR worth it if you have left consulting? I have left consulting as of today. Primarily, evaluating only from a financial perspective.
Has anyone tried therapy via Skype (or something similar)? If so, how was your experience? I am struggling to find a psychologist that works weekends...
Expecting an offer from Microsoft federal consulting, but got a non specific answer about wlb (how often on client site) during the interview. Was told it was client dependent (they are hiring for multiple positions). Thoughts on how to get a clarification from the recruiter? Don't want to be on client site a lot.
That moment when you start using consultant speak in your real life e.g. "lessons learned" or "add value" 😳
Daycare moms who are nursing - what is your schedule for nursing / pumping and getting out the door? I currently pump after the first feed of the day because I am still full but that takes time. Do you shower / get ready before baby wakes up? Do you pump after the am feed?
Heard that there will be an Instacart driver strike next week due to taking on tons of risk for low pay and no benefits. How will this impact you?
If you had to choose between having your WFH desk in your bedroom or living+dining area (combined space), where would you choose?
Made it to the hiring committee for an S&O associate role in Google London - if I get an offer, what level, base salary, bonus and stock package should I be expecting? Anything else I can be expecting? Current industry: strategy consulting, pre-MBA, YOE: 4 (3 in strategy consulting) Google
