Accenture, BCG, Deloitte & E&Y all signed up to be in the consortium for eliminating the gender pay gap. All the sudden I'm feeling the urge to switch firms!
I hate that “this needs more diversity” is code for add more black people...🤦🏾♀️ 😥when will people realize that diversity is not just black and white!
Seems that Fearless girl was made by unfair men. “It became the financial world’s most iconic symbol of gender equality and won 18 honors at the prestigious Cannes Lions, including four Grand Prix” http://www.adweek.com/agencies/financial-firm-behind-fearless-girl-will-pay-5-million-for-allegedly-underpaying-women-and-minorities/
What do DEI people actually do? Besides give the (mostly false) appearance of diversity within the agency?
What are some ways in which you’ve specifically contributed to gender equality in the workplace?
Someone in an HR session asked how Diversity and Inclusion retention/promotion efforts could negatively impact people who aren't "diverse." That's a bad look bruh.
Frustrates me so much that almost all the partners in Mckinsey regions I see are from Harvard - can’t make that alumni connect. They need some diversity up there, throw in a state school will ya!
Happy Monday all! I am working on a panel discussion with 3 business leaders for increasing young female talent/pipeline in Tech with an inclusion lens. What questions do you have at the top of your mind? Theme is enhancing D&I through building female talent pipeline. Any suggestions are welcome :) Thank you.
I wish glass door would tell you gender. Would love to see how much more men creatives still get paid more than women.
What are the best cities to move to now for young single wanting to socialize more, enjoy the weather and outdoors, explore more diversity, have a good professional environment, and find a partner? Looking at LA, SF, and NYC. 31M currently Chicago based.
director of diversity, director of culture, what do they do in the agency? Seriously wondering
I am trying flexible seating for the 1st time this year, and I feel like kids are just sitting with their friends and segregating themselves by gender. For those who do flexible seating, how do you

Best consulting firms for real inclusion?
Is this place for gender/sexual minorities as well? I'm a gay transgender man, but as I'm white, I'm not sure if I belong here.
Have you participated in LeanIn Circles at your firm? Thoughts? Also, let's please keep the gender issue hating comments civil if they come at all
Lady 🐠, every time I see one of these lists publish I always puke. For the most part I don't see our most talented and creative being highlighted... I only see the most politically motivated http://www.adweek.com/brand-marketing/37-women-who-are-disrupting-the-status-quo-and-championing-gender-diversity-in-advertising-and-tech/
Let’s hear some stories of adversity and overcoming challenges. Socioeconomic, race, gender, disability etc. Work or personal. I think we all need some inspiration that we can overcome, no matter what.
What are the drawbacks of filing a second I485? For context I’m ROW and filed an EB I485 in May last year (Texas service center so still waiting). I am now eligible to file I485 under the diversity lottery program, that would be faster and no need to stay with my employer after GC
Any thoughts on shifting 401k contributions from traditional to Roth with the new tax code changes? I'd imagine a lot of us benefit from lower tax brackets in 2018.
Is anyone else having difficulty when teaching pronouns now with non-binary terms? My students insist on the fact that Susan doesn’t have to be she it could be they. Answer key says she. How do we handle this?!?!
See this being shared everywhere on LinkedIn and Twitter: If white women continue to be the face of diversity, then what is diversity?
Anyone got personal trainer recommendations? Ideally around Borough but happy to travel a bit if needed. Don't need anything special just someone to help me get into shape!
senior consultant level at EY in tech transformation PM work - how much will WLB vary by project? Been on the same project for over 2 years with low hours and incredible team culture, but expecting 25%+ raise if I leave D
No matter how many years I’ve freelanced, I still find it difficult to accurately (and fairly) predict how many hours a project will take in order to bid on it (and bake in revisions). Any tips or tricks out there?
I'm getting a good amount of phone screens (guessing big 4 + CPA is getting me past the resume screen), but after that I'm honestly stuck. How do I frame risk assurance in a way that makes me valuable for financial analysis type roles? I have no experience with financial modeling, for example. I feel like I can BS about how I understand business processes, but then when it comes to technical knowledge I lean on "I'm a CPA" since the work experience sucks. Controls work is not very transferable.
Anyone ever used an employment offer from a client you’re currently on to renegotiate salary or not worth the effort?
On the bench, suggestions for where to travel?
My supervisor tested positive for COVID-19. My office remains open, but is allowing WFH. I am in the middle of a trial. NY Supreme Court has not closed, and the judge has refused to adjourn.
Is it more impressive to make manager in 2.5 years at the same firm or move to a different big 4. Im S1, got an offer from another big 4 to be a manager but my firm (also a big 4) wants to make me a manager and match the salary immediately. Assuming the work would be similar, what would look better on my resume? Goal is to make director as quickly as possible and go in-house.
Applying for MBA programs in Fall 2021. When I matriculate I’ll have 7 years of healthcare consulting experience. Will this give me a competitive advantage when I apply and will I be among the oldest students by far?
Hi all, I’m a IT strategy consultant working remotely by contract. I’m also doing management consulting for startups and small companies. Here’s a perfect example of totalitarianism, from an unelected official no less. You give them a finger, they’ll take the whole arm (and other organs if you’re below a certain age, but let’s leave that discussion for another day. Background: military, medical kept losing my record, received multiple doses of the same thing over and over, even the dreaded Anthrax series. This isn’t about the vaccine or preventing anything, this is about abuse of power and authority.
If you are not a partner, do any of the Big 4 have a mandatory retirement age? I have a friend who is working in industry and has been approached by a few firms as he has a very desirable technical skill set. He is in his 50's and doesn't want to make a move unless there is some runway to keep working. He basically could work as long as he wants where he is at. The pay increase would be significant for him to jump to but if he is mandatorily forced out in a few years it might not be worth it.
Fuck Deloitte. Not only is our employer 401k match 1.5% but it takes 4years to vest. I'm so done with the nickel and dime-ing. Getting promoted and running.
I want to hit Marriott Gold before my next business trip (so I can have my trip count towards the fast track from gold to platinum promo)... and I will be there if my 15 elite night credits from my Marriott credit card are applied (opened the card about three weeks ago). Is there any way to speed up the application of those credits? Anyone have any luck doing this via phone?
