I'm trying to get my male director to see the importance of diversity on a team, however I'm flopping. And now I hear that 2 out of 4 of us women on my team of 18 are thinking of leaving mostly because of his ignorant attitude towards diversity and inclusion efforts (more notably, though, sexist prejudice). When I brought up DEI, he said that there are just more men in the market and ended the conversation. I don't want to have that burden of teaching the importance of DEI, but do I have to?

Got denied promotion a 2nd year in a row. Already acting as manager on my current projects and feeling a bit down. Should I try again a 3rd year or just leave now 🧐 Manager : “You fly far under the radar, hit billables, clients like you, coworkers have nothing but good things to say, do good work consistently, but missing the “shine/pluses needed for me to make the business case for promotion”. Just want to put it out there: if you are a POC interviewing at a low-POC firm (esp in smaller markets), don’t be discouraged or judge on that alone. We are making huge efforts to increase diversity.

An agency or “content agency” - whatever that means. It’s the same thing. Manifest is run by people who have no idea how anything works. Everyone hates the CCO who just talks and talks - and words barely come out. But then you’ll get thrown under the bus by a history major from Yale. Good luck if you work there. @manifest They also make you tell them if you’re gay or straight before you start.
