Do you get the feeling that there is a higher image promotion of women/minority people in Tech?I have seen way to many pictures from major tech companies that promote far more women/minorities than white males in their marketing materials.Wouldn't be better if we hired the best people no matter what the race/gender is?I know some companies are not publishing any gender/race stats but you cant't really demand a 50/50 ratio. Also there is no coincidence that most execs is some companies are British. So this goes both ways.
POLL: If a new center/center-right party emerged to cannibalize the GOP, with less emphasis on policy preferences of rural whites and strong inclusion of minorities, would you support the effort?
Do you all put your race and gender on job applications, or omit that info? In this day and age I don’t know if it hurts, helps, or doesn’t matter.
it’s wild how much casual racism there is in the HBS threads. maybe the reason you didn’t get in despite your top stats is that your essay pointed to the same type of low EQ that goes with complaining about how unfair it is.
I've often heard "diversity of thought" (i.e. conservatives) as being callously injected into the diversity convo. Typically this coming from white men. What are your thoughts on this?
I am am Asian woman. I started a discussion about how we could improve our diversity and inclusion efforts on my UX team. I offered a possible solution. Out of a team of 14, only 4 responded, 2 female in support, 2 male with lukewarm and hostile responses. The silence is deafening from the rest of the team (all male). I don't want to be here anymore. I attribute this to being in Utah, majority white. Is it like this everywhere? Or if I change jobs, will it be better?
Hi, so can anyone give me some insight into working in Bain Capability Network, India, Bain & Company. What is the WLB like, and how does the compensation increase from an analyst onwards. Please feel free to add any advice, or anything else you feel I should know before joining BCN India. What Centre of Excellence should I join if I want diversity in clients and or projects? Thankyou for taking time to answer the question!!
I am curious how other inclusion teachers are being utilized when the school is doing remote learning. I find that I am sitting in the zoom class and have very little opportunity to contribute. I am having discussions with my teachers on ways that I can better support them and the students when remote.
Don't see much from Latinx folks about diversity issues. What are some things you experience? Where are you located and do you think it makes a difference?
This is basically the answer to every “Wait, is it okay/wrong/legal that a lot of job postings now explicitly encourage BIPOC/female candidates vs. white males—isn’t that reverse discrimination??” post: https://www.instagram.com/tv/CMXv5KNAjHs/?igshid=hxrb8v6qdiwq
Hi! Welcome! What are your positions in an inclusion classroom? How’s it been going so far this year?
Blunt, elephant in room ? for recruiters/CCOs/ECDs: when u get outreach from someone u know/assume is 40+ straight white male, is that sort of a non-starter now? Please know this isn’t griping because inequality absolutely must be fixed...it’s more just curiosity. Because seems almost moot for older whiteys to apply when agencies are (SHOULD be) actively trying to hire racial/gender/sexual orientation diversity now more than ever. “Advertising White Dudes: We Had a Good (Selfish) Run!”™️ 😁
Just got feedback that I need to hire a more diverse team. My team is 70% women and I am an Asian women myself. What exactly are they looking for? This is the main feedback in my promo case and I have no idea how to fix it but don’t want to sound combative.

#Genders Women, do you find it difficult to work with men? Men, do you find it difficult to work with women? If there is something you absolutely hate and would like to change when working with the other gender, what would it be? PS: I'm sorry for focusing on male/female genders in the question, but it's valid for anyone having different experience working with other genders than theirs.
Recently had my opinion shut down because “as a white male, I was coming from a position of privilege and could not possibly understand”. Excuse me? My skin pigmentation has more bearing than any life experience, education and past hardships and condemns me to being inherently incapable of ever being able to grasp certain concepts?
Let’s see how the gender ratio is in this bowl!
test on 1.1.5!

What is better for someone wanting to switch from gov’t consulting to strategy: M7 MBA or pay for someone to case the sh*t out of me and then apply to T2s/MBB with referrals?
How many people are still working at this hour?
Deloitters. Is my bonus correlated to the overall DC AIP or is it just to my SL or SA? @ consultant level
Considering jumping from ACN after 1 year and hopefully a promo... My question is primarily for those who were in the same position -- did you move to another consulting firm and did you see a decrease in pay/level? I honestly would not mind being demoted as long as I am getting valuable experience under my belt.
Is anyone in the UPENN MCIT program? I am extremely interested and I am seeking advice on how to apply.
Advice for someone who wants to quit their job? I feel over worked, unmotivated and may show in my work now so paranoid that my managers are catching on/trying to get rid of me. But nervous if I quit that it’ll take a while to find a new job and I’ll regret my decision
Does your firm only seek out or considers clients above a certain annual revenue? Is there ever a situation where a potential client is just too small to entertain an RFI/RFP?
Cheapest way to do laundry on the road? We can't expense laundry unless we're away for X or more consecutive nights. How do you deal with this at your firm/what are policies?
