My one month old baby has been extremely fast and has reflux, due to which she is not able to sleep lying straight in her crib. She just wants to sleep clinging to my chest in upright position. Any suggestions on how to make baby sleep well, and get some sleep for myself as well?

Totally feel you; my son was spitting up after every feeding for a while. I’m sure you’ve probably read/heard about taking breaks during the feeding to burp your baby, but honestly what worked the best for us was for me to breastfeed him in the laid back position so that he had to work harder for the milk (and therefore eat slower) and so that the pressure on his stomach stopped him from overeating (which I think was probably the reason why he was spitting up a lot in the first place). Our pediatrician also recommended letting him sleep in his car seat or a bouncer for 20 minutes before moving him back to his bassinet, and that seemed to help as well. Not sure if any of this is applicable or helpful to you, but you got this and it gets better, I promise!

Mine has terrible reflux and we let him sleep in his boppy watched for naps. Hold him upright for 20 minutes after a feed and you will see the throwing up come down

Similar. We use a premie nipple so his bottle the flow is really slow and he isn’t gulping down food.

FTM of a 5 wk old here. Same situation. Besides burping, pace feeding, and keeping baby upright for 20-30mins after each feeding, our doc recommended wedging a 3” binder under the bassinet/crib mattress to raise the baby’s head/torso while sleeping. Seems to work well for the last few days.

Same, 4 week old here! Most of these recommendations have worked for me, plus feeding in the football hold position, but she basically sits upright and I’m reclined a bit. She still has a bit of spit up but it’s much better than other nursing positions. We try to do the 15-20 minute upright as well after the feeds. Sometimes I wear her in the carrier at that time or prop her against my knees/legs to try to keep her awake

I’ve also tried expressing a bit with the Hakaa once a day and that’s helped a bit as well

Does switching to a similar role at another firm typically create a delay for getting promoted? For example, Associate to Senior Associate on my current team almost always takes 2 years on the dot (give or take a month).
