Been late to client site every morning by more than 30 min since the beginning. This doesn't really matter since I'm usually the last one out the door 12 hours later right?
Do you guys have a formal or rule you use when giving out a cost estimate for a project? For clarification: this will be a creative project with a former coworker, I have no idea to the budget.
Sabotaging the shoot at every opportunity because you’re angry your boyfriend didn’t get to direct it isn’t going to magically make the client trust your creative decisions the next time around.
Question: The company that you are working for offers cloud managed services and has been approached by a potential client. What are some areas (or red flags) you would consider before responding to their RFP? ( I started putting together a response but would love to get your insights) Answer: 1) Understanding of current annual spending vs spending if they adopted our cloud services 2) Clients expected growth rate 3) Regulatory requirements depending on industry (medical, fed etc)
Honest question here-hw do I work better with Indians who come over frm India(on-site) to client? My patience with them is at an all time low since they jst dnt gt the methodology & hate owning anythng
What’s the most amount of submissions you’ve had to give to client before they accepted a deliverable? I’m on version 15 now and I feel like I’m being played with 😡. Make me feel better 🐠
A few months ago a new colleague arrived (I think 1 year max of experience). I'm giving them lot of my time explaining things when they do not know how to approach a task, giving them emotional support when they are down etc. Despite this, I have the feeling that they do nothing all day. On Teams they are always "away". They are on the same project as me so I know exactly what they should be doing but they are very slow to complete tasks. Suggestions?
Starting my first traveling project next week. Any tips/advice? Ex: Reward programs, things to think about, how to get miles/points from using company corporate card?
Has financial security made you lazier? I’m nowhere near FIRE but I finally have a little F U money and have found that I’m no longer willing to work outside 9-5. I’m on a project now that’s a dumpster fire and I’m just like “meh roll me off” instead of trying to take ownership and get things back on track. Anyone relate?
Got an offer from EY India with 110% hike on my 6.9 CTC. But location is chennai because it's the client location as well and as per their director's communication with me it will be remote as of now and they can change the location later. Shall I trust them ? And how is work from home policy in EY India especially before pandemic? Shall I switch or stay back?
How do you all make sure you are delivering value and moving the needle on each and every client call? Or is that a pipe dream? :)

What counts as prior inventions that should be written in a previous inventions disclosure? I’ve “created” processes that are essentially well known but customized to my client. Does that count?
So bothered by the way the client talked to me today on a call for just doing my job and then they act all cordial once my manager joined. I just can’t shake it. How do you all cope with difficult clients?

Posted in Big 4 bowl but reposting here: Looking to move into a general Consulting Staff/Business Transformation/Strategy position mid-late 2022. Was eyeing a Summer/Fall 2022 Business Transformation Staff position at EY in particular, but it has dropped off. Any idea of when positions like that will typically open up across most firms? Want to get in early, open to any firm. I do not have an MBA, but I am client facing and work in commercial markets currently. TYIA!

When I leave accenture, what do I do with my 401k? (Been here over 2 years so I am 100% vested) and what other implications are there for leaving ?
I’ve been in the industry for about 20 years, hundreds of pitches, dozens of speaking events at big shows. I used to be a natural when presenting. Fluid, clever and insightful while keeping it friendly and conversational. Since covid and WFH my presentation focus is totally off. Low energy, nervous, dry mouth, reading off slides, hard to keep my mind in the bigger picture or focus on the story. Womp womp. Really getting me down and not sure how to get the magic back. Depressing.
Lol my firm halted all sales travel but continued client travel. Just waiting for someone to get sick so I can sleep in my own bed for more than 8 nights a month
Anyone recently joined Accenture and just hardlock to a project with no work? How long does it takes to get allocated to project ?

If you haven't had your CRT yet because your RP is MIA (which isn't out of the ordinary), should you be concerned about layoffs?
Any furloughs or layoffs at your firm? Moss Adams and Crowe seems like they let go 400 employees each while BDO implements pay cuts...?
For new hires at Accenture, are they asking you to relocate if the job is listed for another city? Or can you stay where you are and remain remote/travel once that’s available?
Have an interview coming up at Coinbase for their Talent Strategy, Senior Associate opening. Anyone have any insight into what to expect? Literally my dream exit so would love to not blow it 🙃
What is it like to be a Product Manager at Deloitte? Is Career Development/Compensation aligned to consultant levels? Any UK specific insights?
I was checking and comparing healthcare costs for the two companies my spouse and I work for. For me with HSA it is around $900 per month for just Medical, Vision and Dental. For my wife (with HSA) it is $300 per month. Both have $3000 deductible. My out of pocket max is $14000 while my wife’s is $7000. All of these numbers are for a family of 4. Why do we have such a huge difference in healthcare costs for similar coverage? My wife’s company is 30K employees and my company is 300K employees.
My project is requiring a lot of time commitment during early hours and evening and it’s getting hard to pick up LO from day care. I wanted advise frm ppl who have hired help for pick/drop off.
My COBRA medical in-network plan rate is $607 per month. Is this a good rate? Anyone has a recommended medical insurance for bridge period between to jobs that you believe is better than COBRA? Also appreciate if there is any specific advice or things to pay attention to regarding using COBRA, it’s my first time doing this.
When you join a new firm, how soon should you be staffed to a project ? Is some initial delay considered to be ok ?
Folks on H-1B, do you really need to be in your home office (or within commutable distance during COVID) 1 day per week? How strictly is this enforced, if at all? Thank you!
