Hello everyone. Is anyone in the process of joining D-USI ? I received a 3rd revised offer letter about a day after the “market adjustment”. I contacted the HR and informed them that there were no updates on it, and they said a new one will be sent with updates.

I’m curious as to what these updates are. Anyone else facing something similar ? I’m assuming it’s minor changes to the T&C, and not a comp update.

I’m 33 and recently joined a company at 200 k salary, 25% LTI and 50 k RSU. Initially, I was very happy abt it as I had received a pretty big jump from my previous base pay. Having said that, all the excitement has vanished now. It just feels like this pay is not good enough to get the big $1 m house I want, raise 2 kids etc. I’m the bread winner for my fam. I don’t want to sound ungrateful but the comp package is just not making me happy anymore…

Has company stopped giving laptop in replacement of cG desktop?

I am having serious issues with CG desktop. 2 times i visited office also but they fixed it still experiencing some issues like very slow in performance and sometimes not responding but i am managing, tried alot but they are saying they can replace desktop to desktop but not Laptop.

Coworker creates "Sheet A" with invoice numbers
I use Monarch to extract invoice #'s and amounts from another report.
I do a pivot table to compile amounts by invoice. I copy those results to "Sheet Z".
I then do an @vlookup on Sheet A referencing Sheet Z (just the invoice # and amount).
It isn't working unless I go to Sheet Z and type over the invoice # (same number)! All invoice #'s are absolute and in the same font & alignment. Workbook has 10 yrs data. Has worked in past!

I am in-house counsel and I regularly check bios and/or LinkedIn if you’re working for me or across from me, and I am shocked at how many senior associates and even partners in biglaw have no bio, no representative transactions, etc. You’ve already done the work, show it off! Such an easy way to sell yourself (and such an easy way to leave me wondering if you’re qualified if it’s missing).

I gave notice on Monday at my current firm, and Partner says he wants to discuss my move further (probably to try to keep me at the firm). I already accepted new firm’s offer but Partner still hasn’t discussed anything with me and at this point I need to start discussing with the other Partners about my transition. Should I pressure the Partner that wants to discuss my move further and let him know I’d like to start the transition process or should I wait for him to reach out? TIA

Currently serving as corp counsel and report to a great GC who will be leaving the company next month. I work a lot now, though I can come and go as I wish. New leadership isn’t my cup of tea and I’m worried about the new GC. I have not been looking but I have an offer to go back to private practice in Big Law doing securities work with a partner I know very well. However, I am super hesitant to go back. I am doing relatively well in my firm, and have been told to apply for promotion to senior assoc (1 year ahead of peers). However I have been feeling burnt out and am unsure whether I want to be doing law in 20 years’ time. My wife wants me to quit private practice and I have an opportunity to go in house.
