Can someone rejoin TCS
Hello Sharks, Need a suggestion. Had a verbal communication on profile and salary post selection (12th August) still haven’t received the offer letter. Getting updates that they are waiting for global team approval which is stuck due market conditions i believe. My LwD is arriving should I take Whatever offer i have which is comparatively less or ask company to retain as MS are not certain with when they can roll the offer out. Microsoft

McKinsey & Company McKinsey & Company been working here one year and received pretty positive feedback. Given the expectation for people of my tenure to transition to EM in a year or so, I can’t see myself staying due to the WLB as an EM. I’m 35 and have 2 young kids. Can it even be realistically done? Would love to stay but I don’t see a balance which would keep my family happy. What options do I have from there?

Has anyone ever wondered why the customer should be responsible for increasing the server's take home? My friend used to wait tables and would make about $150 in tips for an 8 hour shift making her hourly pay about $19/hr.
I also know college grads that make that much straight out of school. Can anyone explain why they should be getting paid the same?
@C1: That's nice for the future, but we live in a present where restaurant staff make sweet fuck all without tips. I think the US's tipping culture is a travesty (I come from a country where tipping isn't needed), but that doesn't mean I don't tip here.
Congratulations, you're a dickhead.
Beyond rude. Because you don't go there you will leave a zero tip? Have you ever waited tables??? They make like $2.50 an hour so they work off of tips.
Yeah, we all know tipping is a shitty and corrupt system in which employers abdicate their reponsibility to pay their employees a decent wage. But you don't take it out on the victim of the system, you fucking shitheads.
They tip out based on sales. So if your bill is 50$ they owe the bartender busser and hostess about 6$ plus credit card fees so if you don't tip not only are you not following the pay structure (they make less then minimum and tips balance it off) but you're actually costing them about 7$ to wait on your fat ass. You're a sicko
Yes no direct adverse effect on you for tipping 0. But there's this thing called compassion in which people care about other people and aren't complete self serving bastards
@A1, yup worked in a restaurant from 14 to 19. However, I live in California where we actually got minimum wage instead of $2.13. Not my fault these backward ass red states don't enforce reasonable labor laws. I shouldn't have to pay more than I'm required to subsidize a waiter's salary.
I always tip unless the service is beyond bad. 20% every time. Hope it makes up for rude people like you.
Lol OP must be really bad in bed
Dickhead
Most of Europe has a zero tipping policy
Try listening to the freakanomics episode on tipping. Most of what we are discussing here is already covered in that episode called "tipping point"
OP you are 100% correct here. All these idiots here telling you to "have compassion" are thinking emotionally and not rationally. You are not responsible to subsidize their salary, the restaurant is.
Is it rational to cut in line, cut people off, and do other dickhead shit if you can get away with it? Maybe, but you're still a ginormous douchebag for doing it
I think the other thing were forgetting is most of the time, op is getting a free meal. Irony of not wanting to give away something for nothing should not be forgotten.
That's bullshit @D5. If it was a required cost, then add it to the bill (like they do for parties of 6 or more) it's not a "known" or "required" cost of eating out. You are only required to pay the full bill and the workers themselves should unionize and go lobby the system if they want a wage increase or tip to be added onto the bill pre-tax. Stop your blame shifting bullshit.
Who ordered up the big bag of dicks appetizer?
@Mck1, imagine running a business on the same moral principles upon one is expected to tip. People would think you're a moron for blowing money away. No need to tip.
You're making us look bad bro
