My RE is putting me on estrogen pills for a mock cycle. Has anyone else done this? Any guidance or thoughts on this?

I’ve suffered from workaholism for a long time. Thanks to a lot of great self help books and therapy, I’m no longer putting work on a pedestal and I’m spending a lot more time on self care and my marriage. But, unfortunately, I am now getting withdrawals, because my body is used to the daily adrenaline of throwing myself into work. It’s this terrible feeling of like anguish/unease in my gut, but I don’t have anything I’m worried about- it’s like my body wants to find something to worry about.

Honeymoon planning: how are y'all accounting for COVID for honeymoon trips? I'm getting married in October and we want to go to Argentina... which is not letting any foreign nationals in right now and doesn't have an estimated date to reopen (that I've seen). Stuck between booking somewhere else that is already open, like Greece, or buying refundable flights to Argentina anyway and pushing the honeymoon back if necessary. Anyone else dealing with this? Any advice?

I’m 16 weeks pregnant and haven’t told anybody at work. My team is organizing an out of town networking event next week (60+ people) and I’m getting second thoughts about attending (mostly because of covid or any other virus I could get by flying in or attending). Am I overreacting or being crazy for thinking this way? I don’t know whether I should attend or not, and if I decide not to, what my excuse could be as I don’t want anybody to think they can’t count on me anymore bc I’m pregnant. Help!

Halp! I have a TSH of nearly 4 and recently got put on Synthroid by an endocrinologist. I was supposed to wait until my TSH was 2.5 to conceive but we just found out we are pregnant. 🙈 I’d love to hear experiences of others who had higher TSH once you conceived and how you dealt with it.

How to deal with quarter life crisis?

Most of us joined their first job after college with very high hopes (Like : Yeaah my job, I'mma be solving real world problems now).
Most of our jobs turned out to be not so impactful. (like rudimentary shoveling data into neat piles of PPT).
And we have to do this for life.
I can't seem to shake of the feeling completely even after almost 3 years into working.
(Normalise time to ~1.5 years due to distorted sense of time due to Covid)

Diagnosed with ADHD at 40. Tried Vyvanse for a couple of months. It works in terms of depriving grogginess, afternoon post meal crash, and suppressing appetite (at times).

However, I still needed help planning/prioritizing my day,  listening and active note taking, and keeping myself accountable. So decided to replace meds with coffee. Also, the fact that most people on meds had to progressively increase their medication over time did not sit well with me. (cont'd)

Tough IVF mama warriors, would you start a new job in the middle of your stim cycle (fresh transfer)? What reasons would you give to the potential employer so you start 2-3 days after your transfer day?
It’s about a 3 week gap on the proposed start date to when i wrap up the ivf/transfer. I don’t want to jeopardize my ivf since transitioning into a new job can be stressful and I wasn’t successful in the last round. I am almost kicking myself for trying to pursuit a new career while ivf. 😕😔

Post egg retrieval, and my doctor says my thyroid levels are a bit high for what he wants to see for FET, so he has me on medicine to lower it before it’s time for FET. Has anyone else experienced this? Was it caused by all the IVF shots? Will this be a long term issue?

Is there a benefit to using a Hcg trigger shot over a Lupron trigger shot? I’ve heard that Lupron is better to mitigate the risk of OHSS so not sure why hcg would ever be preferred over Lupron. Would appreciate any insights anyone can share

A neighbor in my building donated some fertility meds to be that will expire in a few weeks . Did IUI couple of times but failed. Not sure it works , fertility specialists are not that much interested in IUI but directly recommend IVF. For context am 39 , although have history of endometriosis and have a cyst in ovary do only 1 ovary is producing eggs. How long after a failed transfer does your stomach and body feel like it’s back to normal? It’s been a little over a week since I got the news that my transfer a few weeks ago didn’t work. But my stomach is still so pooched out and looks pregnant that it makes me cry knowing that’s not the case. Trying to eat clean, tons of long walks, but still feel really bloated and gross.
