My roommate (former SO) lost his job today. He worked for a gov tech company. I feel so bad for him. I want to lift his spirits up. How can I help him?

Literally anything besides having sex with him. You WILL regret that.

LOL saw this one coming! Shake it off, OP. Tomorrow’s a new day.

Help him get another

Watch Mrs. Dow Jones together.

Make a nice meal or cocktail that he likes? Also kudos to you for having the empathy and maturity to both room with and feel bad for your ex

Maybe order him a food or product that he would consider a treat and might cut out during these uncertain times. Ex my SO would appreciate a favorited bottle of wine or artisanal coffee beans. I think whatever you do, it will be the thought that counts and will be much appreciated!

When you're on the beach and end up working harder than when you're on a project... #notabreak

Not staffed.Just finished a bowl of cereal (with red berries, if you care). Watching legend. Not a bad tv show. Think I'll nap 2pm. Remind my demand manager I need a project at 5pm.

Has anyone ever seen a psychic/medium to make a major life decision (or had a psychic/medium predict something shocking in their lives)? My family is made up of strong believers and wants me to go.

Manager: "Guys we're going to have to work hard this weekend and through the holiday weekend" Me: "I'll start looking for a new job" 🖕🔥🐺

How much does everyone give their doormen/women as a Christmas bonus?

I absolutely can’t stand when managers message you half way into a meeting “are you taking notes” like if you wanted me to take notes you should have told me before the meeting bc we didn’t have any kind of understanding that this meeting in which we are presenting information to someone else needed *us* to take notes

We have a culture of not challenging mgmt enough. If someone tells you BS, call them on that. If you are held accountable for the stupid typo, mgmt should be held accountable for poor mgmt. rants 👇

When is AA going to retire the MD series - lack of overhead bin space, DC power outlets (wtf?), PA that buzzes all the time, and my seat wouldn't remain upright so I had someone's knees in my seat

Checked into hotel. Went to hotel bar. Charged drinks to the room. Asked for a room change because the view was shit. Let's see if I get charged. *I mean my client gets charged

What’s the toughest lesson consulting has taught you? Been in the game for 6 years and learned this year the hard way that life ain’t fair

@Deloitte Fed, what's the standard analyst --> consultant raise percentage?

Why is pwc firing people? Will the other big 4 firms follow suit?

How much is the raise (%) from 1st year associate to 2nd year associate at PwC? What's the raise if you get promoted to Sr. Associate?

Worst city you’ve traveled to for a project? I’ll go first...

🙌🏼Strategy consultants:how would you solve this question in an interview (model/framework w/out the numbers):"what is the profitability of opening a smoothie shack in downtown LA". Do you need data?

How do you people handle work with an emotional breakdown type of experience going on in your personal life? I know there are certain people who have a clear boundary between personal and professional life, I don’t. :/
