My Saturday in a nutshell

I recently joined an enterprise software company as the third member of the marketing team, the two others being in demand generation and corporate/brand. I've been asked to highlight what KPIs I should be evaluated on.

I'm not sure what to answer to this as the way I see things, my work indirectly impacts a number of stuff (ex. sales velocity) that are typically owned by sales/customer success/other marketers, and my role is mostly to assist. Any thoughts on how I should frame this?

How can I get involved with staffing events like CES, Davos, SXSW?

One question I really do not understand. PA is long hours and lower pay. Industry is not as long hours, but with better pay. Why are there so many people still in PA?
