Director small client to VP flagship client, internal move after less than a year. Going from leading a team of 4 to one of 20. What’s a reasonable ask as a percentage salary bump?
I have Sodexo meal card of 2200 per month in the salary break up. Will it be beneficial for tax saving? Should I apply for it or no? Is it part of any tax saving section or it is totally excepted from the employer?
What would FDD M1 comp be in Chicago at a mid-tier or b4 firm? Currently looking to make a move to the Midwest.
I got selected for interview stage at a FAANG... Even before interviewing, the recruiter is asking for my comp expectations. I dont want to throw out numbers and ranges, but looking for advice here on how do i structure my response to let them know i would like to have a competitive salary as per industry standards (i know for a fact that their base salaries are 30 to 40% more than what i make now ($137k). I work as a quant/associate at a large (>300 billion aum) long only mutual fund. Ive been here for about a year, but seeing how crazy the job market is, I’m wondering if I should put feelers out again. I like my coworkers and I work good hours. I get 110k as base, and got a 10k sign-on bonus. They said min bonus is 15k, but I’m not sure what the range is as I haven’t been around for a bonus cycle. This in a HCOL city. I also get 30% match in my retirement accounts. I have ~2 YOE. Thoughts?
I am newly working in product development (non tech bg), would you rec I get a masters in software eng, comp science, or similar track to get educated? My undergrad degree is completely irrelevant.
How’s the transaction tax advisory TTA group at EY in Houston? WLB, team culture, comp insights for a Manager? Thanks EY
I know people say to not chase money but I’ve been in the industry for about 5 years (all in NYC at big old agencies) and I’ve never made anything of note. A senior position recently came up at another large agency that I don’t think will lead to great work… but it comes with a pay raise from 85 to 140. I’m in my late 30s and I’m tired of feeling like I’m not getting ahead financially. But sometimes I feel like a failure for not making a lot of cool work like my classmates from ad school.
How is quality of life different of an MBB partner and a B4 partner. Is it really still a grind at MBB at that level? I have never seen a stressed MBB partner so not sure if it’s just a facade.
Started in industry two weeks ago. No timesheets, 40 hour work weeks, and 30% more than what I was making previously. We use all B4 for everything, so it’s just managing their work and budgeting. I feel like I have hit the jackpot. Moral of the post: there is none, I just want to brag about how happy I am now 😂
How important is it to get your CPA in the long run/ outside of big 4? Would CFE be beneficial? I’m a forensics staff.
I’ve gone client side and looking for an agency that can help us produce paid social content, specifically videos. We have the footage already so more someone that can concept and has motion design capabilities. Any recos?

Figured out a second use for my wfh setup 😂

What are typical entry levels for consulting managers from the big 4 and EM/PL from MBB at Google? L5/L6 ?
Just read that there are no caps to rolling over funds from 401k to IRA. Is there any benefit to keeping my money in a 401k vs an IRA? I was thinking maybe employee matching would be impacted as I'm not sure if the process involves my 401k balance at all or just the contributions. I would want to roll over my 401k into an IRA to be able to invest in a wider range of stocks and not just the selection made available by my employer. https://www.investopedia.com/401-k-vs-ira-contribution-limits-4770068#:~:text=While%20there%20are%20annual%20contribution,qualified%20retirement%20plans%20into%20IRAs.
I’m looking to do the jump from senior designer to UX/UI designer for better pay and benefits. I’ve designed and developed multiple sites, did artwork for a gaming app, and do 3D/VR work.
