EY, I got my Roth IRA contributions set to max (30%). Does Fidelity automatically lower the % and stop contributions afterwards once I reach my 2022 limit?
Also at Deloitte, I had a couple thousand contributed in the beginning of the year. Does EY's 401k keep track of that as well towards the limit?

Telling them will likely protect her.
Firing someone due to maternity can easily be construed as discrimination. So HR will protect her to protect the company from allegations of discrimination
Thank God I work in France
What is the upside of not telling? Is she not adding the newborn to her insurance? Also, term pregnancy is very evident in a women!!
If she's working from home, not really. Hardly anyone knew I was pregnant during Covid because people only saw me from boobs up and all my weight was carried in my tummy.
Can’t she sue the company if they fire her under these circumstances?
Same thoughts
Take maternity and if they fire her sue the company and can take good compensation
The logic doesn’t make sense, she is still at risk for layoff. Telling them would have protected her under the law. It’s not too late, she still should absolutely tell them.
And next year, she should look for another job. I can’t imagine working for anyone where I would fear telling them I’m giving birth.
Same thoughts wtf
‘murica the great!
Scared to tell your employer you gave birth… sounds like a sweatshop. Sorry for all you 🇺🇸 folks, how awful
And if they lay her off anyway? Put yourself first, screw these companies

This makes me so sad and unfortunately something I’m scared about as well. As someone who’s been laid off while 38 weeks pregnant and spoken to lawyers regarding it, I’m sad to say that the “law” doesn’t really protect pregnant woman as much as we’re led to believe. A company can disguise a lay off as anything!
I’m sorry to hear that. I still would’ve filed an EEOC claim at the least (maybe it’s not too late?) just so the govt keeps an eye on them, maybe they’ll be reluctant to do it again.
But definitely still request maternity leave. Taking a 2 week PTO to have a child is insane. Anything could have happened, with complications she could end up having to stay an extra 2 weeks in the hospital, then what, connect to zoom from her hospital bed? And between recovery and having a fresh newborn at home, yeah your work productivity will probably suck and you’ll get laid off/fired anyway
she’s more protected if she discloses her pregnancy
She is protected if she goes on maternity leave.
I cannot believe we need to have this conversation.
I sincerely hope your sister is doing well and baby is good. She needs to go on maternity leave and not only recover, but have the time to bond with baby.
She's scared to loose her job because she has a child now ... i hope she's job hunting
2 weeks to spend with a newborn is so sad.
wouldn’t they already know she gave birth?
She’s more protected if she goes on FMLA
Ngl, if this is the way she feels about her employer she should be looking for the exits. Parenting doesn’t get easier than the pregnancy.
We care so much about babies…but not the life they live. This a is SAD.
Please tell us what company is that so we never work there?
