My SO is interviewing for a position that would require a Public Trust 5. It sounds like he will get it but there is one thing I don’t think he is taking too seriously. He had a DUI 3 years ago. Would this prevent him from getting his clearance? He thinks I am over reacting and it will be fine but I am not too sure. Anyone have any insight? I went through all this but I did t have anything like this in my background and I can’t remember the questions I was asked.

He definitely needs to be honest about it in the paperwork. They will have questions that will ask

Echo what SC1 said - the main thing is to disclose everything and just be up front. As long as it’s not a reoccurring event, then this normally wouldn’t be an automatic ding. I say normal because I have seen people get denied for having DUIs, but again, those cases were reoccurring and pointed toward other issues/concerns. Good luck!

What firm? If it’s for Deloitte even if he doesn’t get it, he can join a project that doesn’t require clearance or trust in GPS

Thanks! Appreciate the advice the position is with Booz

I was in a very bad shape last year (major anxiety episodes, OCD flares, panic attacks) and now I'm MUCH better. I feel like one thing that helped through it was for the first time in my life opening myself to experience my spiritual side (not talking religion here).

Let's say I do pentesting for another 2 years, Does core pentesting experience will add more value to take up lead role later?

Those of you who left for industry, what do you work towards in your role? I was reflecting on my time in public and there was always something, whether it was a new section in the file, getting more client contact, getting invited to a big golf outing, running the jobs, managing the jobs, etc. I worry that leaving would leave me bored and not motivated to hit any sort of goal. I’m burnt out and worry that I’m making a rash decision lol. Thoughts?
