If it’s inheritance then it IS family money. It would make sense that he prioritizes the people who have the closest ties. If it includes his self-earned wealth then you should talk to him. Either way, examine your own goals and language. Don’t have an expectation that someone else will financially support you. Definitely not with their inheritance. It’s one thing if you want to build wealth together. It’s another if you’re expecting to be taken care of.

He should prioritize the people who have the closest ties- his wife!

Have you discussed this with him directly? It's kind of weird to rank people explicitly like that IMO. Maybe he's just not communicating his intentions well. But if it's a matter of making sure his parents live a nice lifestyle for all they've done, and making sure he's supporting his aunt/uncle in light of the inheritance, and making sure the daughter is taken care of should anything should happen to the parents, I don't see anything wrong with that. I'm assuming there is enough money to go around to take care of everyone? And I'm also assuming he doesn't intend for him, you and your future kids to live like paupers. But it is fair to classify how much support he intends to provide for others, given the real impact it will have on your immediate family finances

I'm a single child in a similar position. My parents, paternal grandmother, and my aunt (her husband i.e. my dad's younger brother and her son passed away) have lot of assets. I am going to inherit it but I hope I don't get that inheritance any time soon. I intend to move closer to them in near future to take care of them and knowing that I will have the responsibility to manage their finances and assets at some point. I don't need to financially support them. I also do not count that inheritance in my financial planning at all. My SO doesn't know exactly how much inheritance there js, only that we don't need to provide for them. I have been very clear with her since we started dating that this will be my priority and it won't change. She's very understanding. Happy to talk directly thro DM

You didn’t work for his family money so none of your business. Can’t believe this post is even real.

How long have you guys been dating and have you started talking marriage/kids?

Don’t listen to them! Marry the guy ASAP before he inherits anything. Then whatever he gets post marriage belongs to both of you and you can have this conversation then.

Resume submitted with app: Major GPA or Cumulative GPA? Context: My major GPA (aka final two years of business school courses) is 3.57 however my cumulative GPA is 3.20. I need recommendations for nice maternity work pants. My office is WFH but I occasionally need to go in. I’m 16 weeks (first pregnancy) and today realized in a panic when I attempted to get dressed that my work pants are either too tight in the waist to wear or getting there. I’m tall (5’10”) and usually wear Theory, Rag and Bone or J. Crew work pants. Any suggestions for nice black maternity pants that I could pair with a blouse or blazer? Thx!!

Like dietary, clinical, financial and emotional preparation, etc. also with this pandemic, i don’t know if I will be able to join any moms group to meet new moms and babies...

I need help immediately! So I just got an offer from Gartner, but I am also interviewing with Google, Microsoft, and Tik Tok.
