Does anyone know if the same 401k rules apply at EY as Accenture so they will cap the contributions coming for your check say if you hit the yearly limits in August? So if you hit the 22,500 in 23 there is no way to go over for tax issues. Thinking to frontload next year contributions if market is down. EY
I was laid off during Deloitteâs mass layoff in July of last year. I have worked as an independent contractor since and projects havenât been consistent at the client Iâm working for. Iâm looking to get back into a big firm and was seeing if anyone would be able to refer me or help get my foot in the door. I was a business analyst for 1.5 years at Deloitte and have several years of additional experience which Iâd be more than happy to share.

Let him be. Somehow he will land a good job in the consulting industry just like me

If any kindergartener was super focused on one task longer than 15-20 minutes that would scare me. This is normal at that age
Don't force him to focus, just give him lots of interesting things to play with. I'm sure if your kid is anything like I was, he can't focus on work but can focus on fun books, educational toys/games/etc. It may just be that he's uninterested in schoolwork. He'll still need to learn to get the boring stuff done, but you'd be better off making sure that his play is educational than trying to force him to be focused. Good luck! đ
Family friend sent her kids to occupational therapy. Seemed to help a lot. Her kids are now in middle school and high school and very high functioning (great schools and grades, accomplished at sports, etc)
Fidget spinners
Does he have the same focus issues when it's a topic or activity of his choosing? My mother struggled with this with one of my siblings except they could sometimes be disruptive and mischievous. Everyone thought he needed mess or special ed. Turns out he was just bored as shit with the topics and caught on to the content easily so was creative in filling his time. Eventually channeled that into sports which helped him with focus in the classroom.
Don't do anything and let him be a child!
Holy shit dude, you seriously canât worry about a kidâs lack of focus as a kindergartner. That is patently absurd. Why are you giving work to him? Let him be a kid, he will be much better in the long run than some zombie who has memorized the Iliad by third grade but is incapable of independent thought. On a side note, how much time does he actively play during the day? My kindergartener is constantly outside and running, it makes a big difference for him.
Itâs probably fine. If youâre really worried talk with a child psychologist or occupational therapist, but in all likelihood heâs just a little boy who is full of energy and gets distracted by new exciting things, as all of us do. Itâs too early to diagnose him with something like ADHD (which depending on the degree can be treated with behavioral therapy) but perhaps some of the activities and behaviors that help with that could be useful. I get that private schools are competitive for little kids (which is absurd, but itâs the truth), but he will be fine in life regardless.
This is precisely why I donât live in a big city anymore. If I really worried about what school my kindergartener, or my second grader, got into I would probably be insane by the time they reached high school. Concentrate on enjoying your time with them, and let them do kid shit.

I should be more clear in how: Found a sport /sports he was passionate about and loved. The catch was that if negative reports came from school about not finishing work or misbehaving he got benched by my parents. No practice. Motivated him to keep up and do well. And this was in 4th grade btw
Fidget toys. I'd say not spinners, but I just bought some toys from fidgetland and I really prefer it to the spinners
How old OP? If you are talking by about a first or second grader you shouldnât worry about it. Boys will be boys, you might just need to let him play more.
He is in kindergarten. Trying to get him into a private school.
