My soon-to-be MIL tends to very nihilistic and pessimistic about nearly everything that my fiance and I have to say. For instance, when my fiance told her that she's going back to school to switch careers, she was not supportive, but rather discouraged her from going to school out of fear of my fiance getting overwhelmed. This is just one of many examples and it's really taking a toll on us and our ability to have a relationship with her.

At this moment, I am almost depressed. I am in a relationship with this guy for 2 years now. In the past 2 years, we have fought more than we have lived days with peace. I'm an artist model, looking to transition to remote work in order to care for my grandmother. Unfortunately due to extenuating circumstances I am unable to employment as the carer for her.
