My spouse and I recently adopted an older shelter dog (Carlotta). Some of the other MDs at my hospital were putting together a "Dr. and Dog" social event, so I took Carlotta. The amount of jabs I got for bringing a shelter "mutt" (with typical elderly dog health ailments) instead of purchasing an expensive designer dog like everyone else was astounding. I'm sorry I didn't pay thousands for a purebred or socially-acceptable mutt. Is this level of snobbery typical in dog circles??

I work for the US’ largest concierge healthcare company and although Covid-19 has been devastating for so many, our company constantly raves about our (recent) success and how business is booming. They have given no additional bonuses or raises to employees. My new direct report was just hired 4 weeks ago and has a large salary than I do. What’s the best way to address this was my manager as the frustration is next level and with inflation the way it is I am now struggling to get by.

Hello! I have 9 years total of healthcare experience and 5 years of that I was a Residential supervisor for a brain injury rehabilitation. I don’t have a degree only college credits I’m trying to obtain a Psychology degree. I’ve been applying to countless jobs on Indeed and barely get an call backs for an interview. The lack of skills fundamental to life is absolutely astounding. I think we now have 3 people who will do anything to avoid reading or taking notes. To call in a supervisor to ask what they should do because they don’t have any intention of reading the document to be able to route it to the appropriate person. Then to avoid reading, they call the patient to ask if they know what the document is for.

This is so petty, but a partner just insisted, during an internal call, that she drafted a paragraph that I definitely 100% drafted.
