I think you need to do some maternity leave research. If most companies require one year of service I think it depends whether you can afford unpaid leave. If you can afford unpaid leave, go for a new job!
It may take a while to get pregnant so take the new job, and hopefully you will have reached the one year (or however long) tenure to qualify for maternity leave by the time you need to take it. Good luck!
I’d start interviewing for a new job and see what happens on either front. When you have an offer in hand and/or are pregnant, you’ll be able to make a more informed decision. Both processes could take longer than expected, so no reason to put either on hold.
If you do get an offer while pregnant and will not qualify for maternity leave ask about an increased sign-on bonus to cover some of the “lost wages” while taking unpaid time off. It is a candidates market right now and most people will be very accommodating, especially if they really want you!
