Hey OP, what’s making you feel scared? Do you feel deprioritized?

like

his duty. I will support whatever he needs and already shared that if this is the best solution, he should go for it. But I’m so damn nervous and scared. Would anyone else feel the same way?

To ask the same question differently: what are you scared of ?

I think I got comfortable with being deprioritized .. but scared of being alone, scared of uncertainty and that maybe it’s temporary now but can become a permanent situation esp when they are unwilling to compromise or seek assistance from other members of their own family as well (so have a more balanced approach).

Physically and emotionally. It would just be living by yourself for the unforeseeable future. Or you opt to move in with your in laws. But it’s clear -
Either ur on your own or you move in.

Hi guys,

I got an offer from Deloitte for the Salesforce developer role. Can someone share about the work life balance and job security in Deloitte.

If I’m looking to relocate cross country and actively apply to jobs (ie, not being headhunted), is it inappropriate to ask for relocation if offered a position? Do some companies that knowingly hire..

I applied to a job on Glassdoor. There was no range or salary history for this position found. HR emailed me with a questionnaire that included salary req. I now have a first interview with team members. This mean I will not speak to HR first. I’ve now found a posting on LinkedIn for the position that DOES list the salary range and I am in the far low bracket. If I am offered the position, am I stuck with the range I gave? I assume my “cheapness” was desirable to them and I would lose the offer

I am offered Manager position by PwC USA Advisory. So far my experience with HR / Onboarding / Compliance and Immigration Team has not been so great. No response on many of my important emails.
I am afraid that will I have same kind of experience even after joining the firm. Or it will be better once I am part of the organization.

Ladies in leadership - This is a critical reminder: When a male colleague asks you for “help” with an administrative task, refer him to his executive assistant. Resist resist resist the urge and the social conditioning to be “helpful” to male colleagues in this way. If you need to ask me why, please do. But I’m hoping that the reasons may be occurring to you as you’re reading this. You’re welcome!

Advice! My law firm was hit by the pandemic resulting in no bonuses/salary increases for ‘20. Obvs a lot of associates left but I stayed because I felt that I didn’t meet the hours so it was what it was and + I really like my team (including partners). However, during the pandemic my team barely checked how I was + if I had any work (spoke twice in 7 months?). For ‘21 I am hoping salary increase + substantial bonus but if I don’t get it, should I ask for it (if so, how?) or should I just leave?
