How do you deal when you are sick and you have a small baby? Covid negative via PCR but I feel like I have the flu (bad cough, body and muscle aches), baby is not sleeping through the night yet and I’m so exhausted. I applied to a job on Glassdoor. There was no range or salary history for this position found. HR emailed me with a questionnaire that included salary req. I now have a first interview with team members. This mean I will not speak to HR first. I’ve now found a posting on LinkedIn for the position that DOES list the salary range and I am in the far low bracket. If I am offered the position, am I stuck with the range I gave? I assume my “cheapness” was desirable to them and I would lose the offer

Fellow fishies, what would you do if you’ve hit a ceiling in your current role and after attempting to transfer was asked to stay and not leave the company. Vacation package is quite good but that’s about it.

I was told by someone about 3 levels above me that for the band (level) I’m at, the minimum pay is $13k more than what I make. He then says “You didn’t hear that from me” meaning that I am not supposed to know that and therefore can’t do anything about it without exposing him as the person who told me. I’ve been working at this company for about 4 months managing their payroll department that was in shambles. I basically inherited a nuclear bomb. The department is starting to stabilize but the EVP (a women might I add) has been making my experience miserable. Advice! My law firm was hit by the pandemic resulting in no bonuses/salary increases for ‘20. Obvs a lot of associates left but I stayed because I felt that I didn’t meet the hours so it was what it was and + I really like my team (including partners). However, during the pandemic my team barely checked how I was + if I had any work (spoke twice in 7 months?). For ‘21 I am hoping salary increase + substantial bonus but if I don’t get it, should I ask for it (if so, how?) or should I just leave?

Looking for some advice. I had a phone screen for a job I really want on 6/23. I was told I would hear from hiring manager . I followed up with the recruiter one week after phone screen and he said hiring manager was on vacation the week after phone screen and the following week after that ( week of the fourth ) the company was off and said I probably wouldn’t hear from them until the this week.
