Why do you think you’d get into any of those schools in a year?
Genuinely curious what (aside from “underwhelming” standardized test scores) are driving this conclusion
I have got my profile assessed by a few MBA consultants and recruiters at the schools and they all think I have a good shot to these schools / their schools.
I have a good work experience (rapid career progression), prolific leadership experiences, and come with a precessional degree / STEM background.
It’s just my scores that are weighing me down considerably.
These schools because I not applying to competitive bunch with my average score and get rejected. Would just play it safe and want to just get into a decent school.
Thanks for the encouragement guys! This is all I needed.
Can’t you take off now improve your score & and then apply in September for M7? Totally agree that your profile sounds very competitive! (Also, I don’t think that a 670 is that bad - wouldn’t be surprised if you get into Insead & LBS with that score as averages here in Europe are much lower than in the US, but I am sure you know that).
On a different note, I improved from 650 to 730 in over 2-3 weeks just by managing time better, not studying the days leading up to the gmat and taking the test later in the day (not a morning person... ). Maybe you can have another spontaneous shot ...
I checked with both the schools. They said this year is very competitive and need at least 700+. ORM here.
What are your scores?
670
So confident that you’ll get into M7 in a year. Is that because you expect to have a higher score and better job? You’ll have to explain employment gaps in your apps as well just FYI.
Also expectations are that next year, although not as competitive as this cycle, will still be more competitive than usual.
