I feel like I could have written this myself. I know this is easier said than done, but as someone who finally took the plunge - leave.
I’m trying so hard to leave. Everyday is just me deciphering stupid tasks, the interview process has just been so slow…
‘Why would you give me work if you don’t even know how to do the work’. This sounds a bit chippy and that you’re assuming that their number one priority is to give you a neatly packaged little task with paint by numbers instructions. You’ll teach yourself a lot by thinking through the ‘garbage’ yourself, and it will put you in good stead when you start to receive the same from clients

I think the only assumption OP is making is that the partner knows what they’re assigning. Crazy.
Is there a remote possibility that they do not have the time to explain?
Author: That is a good part of instructions. Sounds as if they try to make you self-sufficient.
