My supervising partner at my law firm wants me to move with her to a new firm. I know I am significantly underpaid in my current position and that the law firm I would transition to pays much more on average. I don’t want to share my current salary during the negotiations in case they attempt to base my new salary on that amount. What is the best way to respond if they do ask about my current salary?

They can ask, but you don't have to share it, and I wouldn't. Come prepared to offer what you are willing to accept the role for though.

In one sense, I feel I could develop more in the startup role though moving to a IC role / 50k less salary if promo’d (w/ equity to be fair) doesn’t feel awesome. Lmk thoughts! Thanks.

Have a somewhat confusing question hoping to get some insight. I had to cancel a Southwest flight last year due to covid. Here’s my question: if I book the flight so it is before the 22nd and use the credit to pay for it, if I decide to change flight dates to after 9/22 would that transfer over? Or would I have to forfeit the credit and pay for the flight. Hope this makes sense!

I’m panicking. I struggle with depression and anxiety and my weekly sessions are what keeps me going (and meds!). I also love my therapist and she knows everything about me. I don’t want to start over but I also don’t know if I can afford $160 per session… what do I do?

Does anyone know what an appropriate percent of a raise to ask for is? I havent gotten an increase in two years since my probation ended and I'm trying to determine a number to ask, but I dont want to aim too high

Info: cost of living has increased 6.6% in that time, and a posting within my company is over 15% higher than my salary for an entry level position. But I've also heard that 8% is the highest you should ask for, so Im not sure

I'm not really happy, and am having doubts about staying here. Is this a good salary? At $16.6/hr i feel as it's not.
