My team just had one person go on an unexpected leave for an undetermined amount of time, and 2 that are about to go on maternity/paternity leave. How well do we think it’s gonna go over when I put my notice in today 😬 I know I need to think about my own personal/professional goals but dang these scenarios don’t make it easy

It’ll be okay OP. You gotta do what’s best for you. I just went through the similar situation.

Two of the people on my team quit back in March, and when I put in my notice two weeks ago, I felt like overridden with guilt for leaving my team as a skeleton crew. When I told my manager, I could just hear the disappointment in his voice. But ultimately it’s the best decision to make for myself, and people understand that.

Good luck! I hope your transition to your new job goes well :)

KPMG reached out to me earlier this week and I’m interviewing for a tax position tomorrow morning. JD working on CPA. Working for a regional firm right now making $79k. I like it, but the benefits aren’t great.

Would anyone working in tax at KPMG recommend making the switch? What do your hours look like? Are you satisfied with the benefits?

Currently I work for a mid-sized InsureTech that’s had 2 rounds of layoffs in the past 6 months. Salary is 100k, with no defined bonus. I have close to 4 years of PO experience. I am debating whether I want to leave since my boss is very chill and I have amazing WLB. Benefits are eh. 15 PTO days and healthcare premiums are okay. Should I jump ship? What could I be making at a bigger company? What types of companies are most stable right now?

I’m going crazy in Audit, I’m an A2. I think I’m going to try and transition to consulting. Would it be smarter to stay within the firm or go to a new one, and is there a half-step I should take (such as going to TAS for a year or so) before going into consulting? I just want more exposure to companies I work on than just the audit, it doesn’t feel like stuff I’ll be using in 5 years (but I’d be happy to be proven wrong on that). Business strategy/biz dev is catching my interest recently.
