My therapist tried to diagnose me for ADHD by asking me a series of questions. The end conclusion was I may have it and she wasn’t a 100% sure about it.
Is there a scan or exam I can take that will help me with the diagnosis?

Is it much easier to learn through listening than reading? I cannot pay attention when reading, but since I have started using audiobooks, I have consumed 3-4 books a week.

Lately I've struggled SO much with balancing taking care of myself and work. Seems like I can either get a bunch of stuff done and have a productive workday OR eat, get exercise and talk to other people during the day. Yesterday I didn't eat a single thing and just went to bed after work. It's miserable. How can I find a balance?

ADHD medication with high Blood Pressure?

I found ADHD meds helpful when I worked in consulting in my 20s. I stopped the meds when I went back to school. Also have had High BP since late 20s. 15 years away, I am back in consulting and loving it, however my difficulties juggling so many projects/tasks is holding me back. I know I would benifit from some ADHD medication but my Dr won’t prescribe any with my history of BP (controlled with BP meds). Anyone else gone through this? Any tips?

I’ve dealt with ADHD my entire life, although was just diagnosed last year. Throughout my career (assurance>industry>consulting), I’ve been able to “outwork” everyone else in the office to counter the lack of focus and other associated faux pas associated with the disorder. Recently have hot a point where I can’t put in the hours (3 yo/fam), and my work has taken a major hit. Anyone in consulting/assurance have any methods for managing this when it comes to PM duties?

Anyone had luck finding a good therapist who actually understands ADHD? Getting advice like "try taking a walk every day" and "practice these breathing exercises" is driving me crazy. I need actual solutions and shit, not just platitudes and internet worksheets.

Hi all! Newly diagnosed last month. Started Adderall and was only able to fill one 2 week prescription before it became impossible to get I my area of Tampa, FL. Dr switched me to Ritalin but I don't have much of a benefit from it at all compared to Adderall.

Pharmacies are saying it may be another couple of months before they expect adderall to be back. Anyone else having this issue? Was on Adderall 10mg twice daily. Now on Ritalin 10mg twice daily. I just don't have the same level of focus!

So glad I found this group! I’ve hopped through 3 jobs since graduating 2 years ago. They all start out great- I ace interviews, flourish creatively, and get super positive feedback from managers. Few months in, my interest begins to wane. Productivity dies off, and engagement in my work falls of the cliff. My work suffers and I end up quitting because I hate myself for not showing up when people are counting on me. Any advice?

I just wanna say that my head feels better since I take lion's mane extract. I stopped zoning out, I have less narrations in my head simultaneously. I can actually do tasks on almost time. If someone wants to try, it's mandatory to take vitamin c with it. It's a life changer for me. I wanted to share it.

I was on Adderall for much of college and the early part of my careers. I had to go off due to negative side effects. My doctor recommended I take Wellbutrin for my “adult” adhd. Anyone have experience using Wellbutrin for adhd?
