I took a computerized test that measures my reaction and attention times by clicking a space bar when certain images appeared.
The results were my inattentiveness was high and confirmed diagnosis along with survey data and history
There isn’t a singular test although a lot of recent DTC type companies adverting on Instagram and the like make it seem like there are, which unfortunately is leading to overdiagnosis and even a supply issue on medications. There are a number of criteria though that a licensed psychologist or psychiatrist can evaluate you against: https://chadd.org/for-adults/diagnosis-of-adhd-in-adults/ I’d check this link out- I found it very helpful after my own unexpected diagnosis (my psychiatrist diagnosed me after it became clear that a number of symptoms I had attributed to anxiety and/or depression were actually symptoms of ADHD.)
This one is very comprehensive and demonstrates how it affects more than one area of life which is a criteria for diagnosis. They also send you a summary pdf which can be helpful to share with your doctor. It'd be best to go to a psychiatrist or phd psychologist to get an actual diagnosis.

I work in the area of mental health (psych hospitals/K-12 school). ADHD is often misdiagnosed and misunderstood in women, dah 🤦🏻♀️
Check this out. Maybe seek out a female doctor?

Idk I had to take a thing that was a series of test for 4 hours. This was years ago but I was told it’s the only way to get a proper diagnosis but most places will just ask you some questions and write you a script.
This is how I got diagnosed as well. I did this little survey thing that had questions on the front and back, and then we just talked and she diagnosed me. I do think it is harder to get a diagnosis when you are an adult.
