No idea if it’s ethical but — Asking you to step up should come with a serious conversation about the future of YOUR role and if YOU want to fill it the APM role. It’s so obnoxious to have to train your own boss when you’re already doing the job. 🤬

I add my title as to what I am doing. Nothing unethical about that. They have to own the duties they assigned to you
As long as you’re doing work reflective of the title I see nothing wrong with this. It’s literally impossible to make a career change if you don’t sell the experience needed for a role
